(y/n)'s POV

I hummed to myself, glancing at my Panic! shirt on the mirror. I was really excited to go to see Panic! but also to go with Dan. He seemed just as excited as I was and to chose me over Phil was really flattering. They would be performing their new album Pray for the Wicked and some older songs as well. There was a knock on the door and I bounded down to answer it. I answered it and obviously Dan was there, wearing a similar shirt to me.

"All black. I appreciate that."

"Hey I'm you now." I joked and he smiled.

"Yup, you ready to go??" he asked. I nodded. "It takes a while to get into the city."

"Yeah, hold on." I said. "MOM."

"Yes?"

"I'M LEAVING."

"Have fun!" she called out and I grasped onto Dan's wrist, pulling him out to the car.

"On a scale of one to ten how excited are you for this??" I asked and Dan chuckled, turning on the car.

"17" he said.

"Good. I expect none the less." I said. he smiled at me as he began to pull out. I put on the radio, some random pop song came on and I hummed along, semi-recognizing it. I stopped suddenly as we rounded the corner and Dan noticed.

"What?"

"I'm going to be in the same room as Brendon Urie." I said and he laughed.

"I know, it's going to be amazing."

The drive was shorter than I thought and we arrived at the venue. There were tons of people dressed in all black as we were, some not. I couldn't help but feel happy. The stadium was huge and everyone was chattering, so loud that I couldn't hear Dan say to follow me. I quickly managed to lose him in the crowd and began to panic(hah) as people flowed past me. I felt someone grab my arm and I yelped, pulling back slightly, but I quickly realized it was Dan.

"Come on, don't get lost now." he said, sliding his hand to hold mine as we walked. We had really good seats, close to the stage and near an aisle. Hopefully Brendon would walk by.

It was a while before the lights dimmed and Dan gripped my hand excitedly. I now realized he hadn't let go of it since we sat.

Brendon came out on stage and went through tons of songs.

Don't threaten me with a good time.

And more. All throughout I could see Dan having fun and we danced and sang together. His face was the happiest I've ever seen and I smiled widely with him, still gripping his hand.

The familiar opening of their new song Say Amen came on and I screamed along with the crowd.

Been traveling in packs that I can't carry anymore.

Been waiting for somebody else to carry me.

There's nothing else there for me at my door.

All the people I know aren't who they used to be.

And if I tried to change my life one more day.

There would be nobody else to save.

And I can't change into a person I don't wanna be so.

I listened as Brendon sang, me and the crowd singing along.

Oh it's Saturday night!

I watched Brendon dance along to his band, and I screamed the lyrics with him, my throat burning, but I didn't care.

I pray for the wicked on the weekend

Mama can I get another amen

Ohhh oh it's Saturday night!

I swear to God I ain't ever gonna repent

Mama can I get another amen

Ohhh oh it's Saturday night!\

The song went along and I waited in anticipation for the high note he had to hit.

"(y/n) I'm so glad I went with you!" Dan screamed at me.

"Me too!!!"

Brendon came down the steps walking along the aisle next to us, stopping right next to me.

It's Saturday, it's Saturday, it's Saturday-yyyyyyy

I listened as he hit his high note, smiling and loud bangs could be heard through the stadium. I heard a scream louder than any other and I looked over to see a commotion on the opposite side of the stadium. People were scurrying about yelling, but no one seemed to be hurt. The guards around hurried to fix the commotion and I realized something was wrong. Brendon finished off his song, now watching in concern. I couldn't believe I was this close to him.

Suddenly another bang rang through and I jolted forward, falling into the aisle at his feet, pain erupting throughout my body. Those bangs weren't part of the show.

"(Y/N)!" I heard Dan scream and he hovered over me.

"Security!!" Brendon called through the microphone, after realizing now that an attack was being made on the stadium. People screamed, fleeing and capturing video of the shots being made. People were crowded around me and Dan as I saw through my blurred vision and shouts from security guards rang through as they detained the shooter.

I could even see Brendon Urie shedding his jacket for me. He was talking with security guards who were calling to see if the ambulance was here yet.

"They're here and coming with a stretcher." one guard said.

"She took that bullet for me. Is anyone else hurt?" Brendon said, handing his jacket away.

"No, we detained him quickly and previous shots missed. Come on sir, we have to get you out of here. Your wife is concerned."

"No I need to stay." he argued, but they pulled him away. My gaze was forced back at Dan as his hand held my chin.

"(y/n), oh my god." Dan said, tears dripping down his face as pain moved in waves from my back to the rest of my body. "(y/n) come on say something." he said, blood pooling from my bullet wound. I felt Brendon's jacket being wrapped around me finally.

I let out a raspy breath as Dan continued screaming for help. I felt myself lifted onto a stretcher and more screaming coming from Dan.

"(y/n), please be okay." I heard, lastly before I blacked out, his hand still tightly gripping mine.

I said I was sorry in advance.
