Hi.
Enjoy~
(y/n)'s POV
The weekend flew by and I was packing up the car. Dan was still inside with Phil double checking everything and Dan would be driving Phil and I home. I had just messaged my mom saying that I was going to be home later that day.
"Hey," I turned to see Joe as I picked up the second suitcase.
"Hey!" he took the other suitcase and placed in after mine. "Thanks." Joe had been ignoring me for a good majority of the remaining 2 days of the weekend. "Hey, I know your dad is moving out when you get home, if you or Zoe need anything call me."
"Thanks," he paused. "So you're not mad?"
"What? No! Not at all."
"Well shit I'm stupid," he said, chuckling.
"No, your fine. But yeah I'm not mad," I said, shutting the trunk as Dan and Phil came out empty handed meaning we could head out. "I'll see you later Joe." I hugged him and he waved to me as the three of us climbed into the car. Dan was quick to pull out and we were on the road. I silently ate granola in the backseat, my feet propped up.
"Hey (y/n), I heard instead of Beauty and the Beast they're doing Rapunzel," Dan piped in and I smiled.
"We're not getting the lead roles again, you know that."
"We could, I mean, I'd love to see you with all that long blonde hair," he said. I kicked at the back of his seat. He was making fun of when I dressed up as Rapunzel when I was younger. It was for Halloween and I looked positively ridiculous. The ride resumed a quiet state and we were home in just a few minutes. Dan dropped off Phil first and drove quickly down the street to my house. "Bye."
"Bye, I love you." I paused halfway out the door and he glanced back at me. "Hah, sorry."
"Nah, it's cool," he said and I quickly climbed out of the car looking like an idiot. I waved goodbye with a cringing face. My mum greeted me at the door with a hug as Dan pulled in the driveway down the street. He waved to my mum and she waved back. I'm glad she's warming up to him.
"How was it?" she asked as I walked inside after her.
"It was really fun except when I got hit by a volley ball," I said, pointing to the still very purple bruise on the back of my leg.
"Oh my, well I'm glad you still had fun. You got an email from your counselor yesterday about some sort of play write school in America. I did some research and they're very good and I think you'd have a fun time at college."
College? That's 2 years away. Why now?
"Thanks," I nodded, avoiding the statement, and she started making dinner.
"Do you want to invite Dan over for dinner? I know his mother is out."
"Oh yeah, thanks mum," I called, texting Dan.
I know you literally just saw me, but my mum wants to know if you want to come over for dinner.
Yeah sure, that just means you get to deal with me longer.
yay?
;)
I tucked my phone in my pocket and Dan was back here within 5 minutes. I greeted him at the door and we all had dinner. Later Dan and I were lounging around in my room. I deemed this a good time to check that email my mum was talking about. I pulled up my mum's email and found it, reading over the short message.
Hello (y/n),
I just wanted to say that I know you have an interest in screenwriting so I recently emailed a wonderful program based school in America that I think you would suit well. I know your mother expressed that you like to write
I glanced at the filled notebooks on my shelf. That was an understatement.
and I would just love to see you put your love for writing and drama to use. It's a hard school to be accepted in, but I believe you have a great chance at a future with them.
Feel free to email me back.
Mrs Wagner
That would be amazing. I've been writing since I was a young kid and my dad would read my stories, no matter how bad they were. He was always supportive like that. I glanced over at Dan who was scrolling randomly on his phone. I had 2 more years and we can always talk. This is such a good opportunity for me. I can survive in America and besides we can visit all the time. I can always watch them on YouTube if they keep making videos.
"Hey Danisnotonfire, when's the next video?" I asked, smiling.
"Oh, I've recorded it already, it's called butterfingers," he said, grinning.
"I can't wait to see it." I turned back to my phone and closed out of the email. There was no use in stressing myself out right now. All would be well wouldn't it? "Do you want to do something?"
"I'm bored, so yeah."
"Wow, that helps," I sassed and he threw a pillow at me.
"I can't stand watching movies anymore, and I'm already frickin' bored," I said, hanging off the bed.
"We can film a video together!" Dan suggested and I gave him a look. "Oh come on, I have like 4 subscribers, it won't kill you."
"Dude you have 60," I argued and he sighed. I paused for a moment before letting out a grunt. "Fine."
"Seriously?"
"Yeah, why the hell not," I said, hopping up. He grasped my hand and we left for his house to record a dumb video. It actually turned out rather nice, I never knew I could be funny in front of a camera like that.
"So I can upload it?"
"Yeah sure," I said, smiling. We had gone over who was clumsier, embarrassing ourselves in front of the camera. It actually felt really fun. I wouldn't mind doing it again.
"You should start a channel," he said out of the blue and I shook my head.
"Ha, yeah no. I'll stick to my thing," I said and he shrugged. I would miss this in college. I know it's 2 years away, but it was all that was on my mind and I don't know why.
I should be enjoying my summer, but I can't help thinking something might go wrong.
This was the shittiest chapter I think I've ever written and Idk why.
Stay awesome!
