Valentine's day can kiss my ass.

Someone called me lonely and reminded me I don't have a boyfriend.

The radio has me sitting here for the past hour and won't tell me the number to call for Ed Sheeran tickets. They said coming up in a few minutes and I gave up bc it's been another half hour and their starting another story so screw this fucking shit.

I cut my foot.

I'm so sad and my dad threw a fake mouse at me to freak me out.

Kill me. Actually.

Enjoy~

(y/n)'s POV

I woke up, instantly in a bad mood, as it's Valentine's Day and I crawled out of bed. I sighed, rummaging through my closet for an outfit. I pulled out a tight pink crop top, long sleeves and off the shoulder and some black skinny jeans. I put on my red converse and did my make up. I looked at myself in the mirror and assumed I looked as best as I could for this dreadful day. I slipped on ridiculous heart earrings and headed out the door with my backpack pulled close to my body.

I headed, into school, sulking as I reached my locker. I grumbled and pulled out little Valentine candies for my friends, hoping at least their day would be better. I opened my locker, putting the candies down in the top portion of my locker for a moment. An envelope fell from the door and I picked it up, placing my backpack down as well. I flipped open the envelope and pulled out a beautiful Valentine's card. I gently opened it, revealing familiar handwriting inside.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I know you hate it, but I was hoping I could make it better

for you. I'm sure you look great today, against what you'll

insist and I think your day is going to be way better than

you think. You're an awesome friend and I'm so very lucky

to have you!

                                                                           Love,

                                                                           Dan

I closed the card and held it to my chest, smiling. I slipped it back up top in my locker, beaming to myself. I pulled up all my stuff and practically skipped all the way to Math. I entered the room, and Dan was sat on his phone, awaiting my arrival. He looked up at the sound of sneakers and he eyed me as I entered.

"Woah, you look nice." he said.

"Thanks. And thank you for the card." I said, smiling. His face went red.

"It's no problem." he said, chuckling.

"No, I really appreciate it." I said, holding my arms out for a hug.

"You're going to make me get up?" Dan asked. I nodded and he sighed, obliging. I pulled him into a warm hug, placing my head in his chest.

"Thank you. You didn't have to do that, but you did and I really appreciate it." I said, smiling.

"It's really no problem." Dan said again, letting go of me.

"Do you want candy?" I asked, smiling wide at him.

"Haha, yes of course." he replied. I laughed and pulled the candy from my bag.

"Woah, is all that for me?" I turned around to see Caspar in a bright red shirt, eyeing the candy.

"You can have some if you want." I said, holding the back to him. He gave me a look as Dan approached my side, munching on gummy bears.

"Seriously? I was joking." Caspar said.

"I'm not. I have way too much and you know my name so go ahead." I said, motioning to the bag. He took a package of candy.

"Thanks, you look nice today. Not like you don't everyday, but yeah." he said. I nodded, setting the bag down.

"Thanks?" I said, looking at him awkwardly. I hadn't talked to this kid in forever and he left me for Grace. Why is he still talking?

"So, I'll just be over there, and uh (y/n), Grace says hello." he said, scurrying off to his seat.

"Weirdo." Dan muttered under his breath. I gave him a look as to not be rude, but it was kind of true. He was acting weird. I packed the candy away and Dan sat down in his chair. he caught my belt loop as I went to sit down and I gave him a face. "You do realize he's acting weird right?" he asked.

"Yeah, I do. He hasn't talked to me in how long and he's doing it now? I mean I have candy, but still." I said.

"Yeah, it's weird. You don't think he still likes you right?" Dan asked. I noticed his hand curl up in a fist, but I brushed it off.

"Uh, I don't think so. Not with Grace and all that. Even if he did it's not like I'd want him back." I said. Dan's hand relaxed and I ran a hand through my hair.

"So are you doing anything after school today?" Dan asked, nervously bouncing his leg under his desk.

"No, why?" I asked.

"Well I figured Zoe and Phil would be out doing romancy things with their people and I really want to hang out, just us again." he said.

"Yeah, sure. My mom's going out with her friends so I'm all alone." I said. He nodded.

"Okay, yeah, I think your mom invited mine as well." he said.

"Wow, that's so weird." I replied.

"Yeah, they haven't talked to each other in a while." he agreed. "It's nice though."

"Yeah, it really is."

~Time Skip~

"Look, I just don't understand the appeal of watching romance movies on Valentine's Day. If your significant other really understands you, then they'll watch like a comedy or action with you. Like preference." I said. Dan was watching me with a smile on his face.

"You're really awesome." he commented.

"Yeah, exactly. I get people." I said.

"So you want to watch action huh?" Dan replied, changing the subject.

"Yes please." I replied, settling into the couch. He put in a movie and settled in next to me. "Chocolate?" I offered. He took one from the box, popping it into his mouth.

"You're really happy today." I commented, putting a chocolate in my mouth as well.

"Nice to see I made you happy with the card. Makes me happy." he said. I choked a little on my chocolate, keeping it to myself and nodding.

"Good." I said, my mouth still full of chocolate. Dan looked over and laughed, wiping away a crumb of chocolate from my mouth with his thumb. My eyes widened when his hand feel from my face.

"Happy Valentine's day (y/n)." he said, draping his arm around the back of the couch.

"Happy Valentine's day to you too."

Ehh, crappy chapter for my crappy mood.

Yup.

Stay awesome!
