Hello!!

I went bowling today and realized I suck even more than I thought. All my friends do tho so we spent time in the arcade. Which...I also sucked at.

Hmm.

Enjoy~

(y/n)'s POV

I was laid back on my towel, sprawled out to take in the sun. My eyes were shut and my breathing was steady, my heart slow and peaceful. I felt warm and comfortable along with the small amounts of chatter around me. I felt a gentle tap in my side and I turned my head to the left, opening one eye. Dan was laid next to me, smiling fondly.

"Hey," he said. I rested my head down on the towel, smiling back at him.

"Hi," I replied, shutting my eyes again. I deemed myself ready to turn onto my stomach which I did so, laying my cheek on the soft material of the towel. I placed my arms on either side of me and rested into the ground. I felt someone kick at my foot and I glanced out of my eyelids at Dan again. "What?"

"Hey." I let out a little chuckle.

"Bored huh?"

"Always."

"Just take a nap," I suggested, shutting my eyes. He was silent for a second before he rolled over right next to me, squishing me.

"Entertain me!"

"Jesus Dan, take a damn nap." I heard Joe suggest a game of volley ball which I was definitely going to sit out. I just laid still and Dan rolled away, huffing.

"Communist."

"Are you serious right now, shut up," I threatened and he giggled slightly, my stomach aching at the noise. I've come to terms with the dull ache in my abdomen when Dan was near, but now knowing that he'd do me is making it worse. It feels like a punch in the gut. I heard them start the volleyball game and Dan was being quiet so I shut my eyes and relaxed.

After around 20 minutes I heard shouts and I heard my name. I started to turn when I was smacked right in the side of my head with the ball, bouncing up to hit my butt as well. Everyone came running my direction as I clutched my hot hair where the ball had hit me, my other hand resting just above my thigh where it had hit a second time. Dan had sat up quickly, not knowing what to do.

"(Y/n) are you okay?!" He asked, Zoe dropping into the sand beside me. I blinked a few times and rolled over, sitting up.

"Uh yeah I think so," I replied.

"Here," he said, offering me a hand. I took it and he pulled me up. I winced and grasped below my butt.

"Jeez Joe how hard did you hit it?" Zoe asked and Dan started to help me inside. That was going to leave a bruise on the back of my thigh and my head was screwed.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to," he said, obviously feeling bad.

"That's okay," I called back as I walked oddly inside, Dan beside me. We stepped inside and I immediately shivered. Dan wrapped a spare towel around my body.

"Here you get dressed and I'll get ice packs," he said, helping me up the stairs. "How hard did that ball hit your leg?" I paused at the top and turned, glancing around at the red splotches on the back of my left upper thigh. Dan ran a quick finger over it and I felt my chest compress. "Okay, definitely 2 ice packs."

I walked into the room myself, getting dressed easily except for my shorts. I pulled up my left leg to feed it through the hole, wincing and wobbling as I stood. How hard did Joe hit the ball?! I walked oddly down the stairs to Dan holding 2 bags of ice. He wrapped one in a small towel and handed to me. I placed it on my leg and started to the couch. I sat down on it, wincing slightly at the pressure and freezing cold. He came over with the second, sitting next to me. He put it on my head where the ball hit and I smiled awkwardly at how close he was.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, at least I wasn't knocked out," I said and he laughed. The laugh that made my stomach burn intensely. He shifted his hand with the ice away for a minute to look at my head.

"Well there's no bump, so you should be okay," he said, gently tracing through my hair for signs of injury. He smiled gently and pressed a kiss to my head and placed the ice pack back.

"What was that for?" I asked, my cheeks flushing.

"To make it feel better," he joked. I smiled and sat back into the couch a bit more.

"Thanks for taking care of me nurse Daniel."

"No problem." I glanced up over at him, smiling again.

"Here I can take it," I said reaching up to hold the ice pack myself as the door opened. He quickly let go and I fumbled a bit before holding it to my head again.

"Oh my God (y/n), I'm so sorry I didn't know I could hit that hard!" Joe said, heading over to me. He almost tripped to fall on me and I flinched into Dan who instinctively placed his arm to block me. Alfie caught Joe from falling, yanking him back up.

"Why don't you chill?" Dan said, clearly irritated.

"It's okay, it was just a mistake. I'm not dead so that's a plus." Joe smiled and backed up from me. I had dropped my ice pack and Dan had picked it up placing it on my head for me again. I took it and stood up with the help of Dan of course, holding the other ice pack to my leg oddly. "I'm just going to hang out upstairs." I headed up with Dan following. I paused before my door and glanced at Dan.

"Thanks again for the help," I said, hugging him, careful not to touch his back with my ice packs.

"No problem."

Yeet

Stay awesome!
