Hello!

*IMPORTANT* Also this Monday though Friday I WILL NOT be uploading. This is finals week for me and I really need to focus on my studies. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I will be posting constantly during the break (probs at least 2 chapters a day)

The schedule then will most likely be a chapter of the regularly scheduled (on my profile) and whatever else y'all want. Just comment what you want to see more of on that chapter for the day.

I'm sorry for no posting next week!

Enjoy~

(y/n)'s POV

Zoe and I walked in silence down through the freshmen hall to get to the auditorium. One hall has never seemed so daunting. I stopped at the entrance and Zoe looked at me.

"What if they stare?" I asked. Zoe opened her mouth, but another voice interrupted her.

"I can help with that." I turned to see Dan. He was standing awkwardly behind me and my eyes naturally narrowed.

"Why would you help? How can you help?"

"Well, I'll just walk with you guys. Pretend it's normal for you. We're going to the same place anyway." he said. I sighed and exchanged a glance with Zoe. This was the first conversation I had with Dan today and he's making it hard for me to hate him.

"Fine." I said. He took a place next to me and Zoe was on my right. We entered the hallway and almost immediately people took notice. I quickened my pace.

"So what did you get for number 4 on the quiz?" Dan asked.

"Uh, B I think. The one about conversions of moles and stuff?" I asked. He nodded.

"That's what I got too." he replied. People were staring at us, rather confused. Maybe this is working. I noticed a familiar figure close his locker and face us. I waved to him and almost everyone looked over at Austin. He jogged over to greet us, face in a wild smile.

"Hey." I said. He grinned rather widely and his warm hazel eyes lit up.

"Hey Gabbie!" he replied. I chuckled.

"Yeah, don't call me that. Chad." I replied.

"ooo that was harsh."

"You're such a dork."

"Thanks I try." He glanced over at Dan as did I to see his eyes were hard and focused forward.

"Hey, you're Dan right? Nice to meet you formally. I'm Austin." he said.

"Haven't you guys been practicing together?" Zoe asked.

"Yeah, but we've never really met, technically." he said. Dan just grunted in response. What was his problem? Where was helpful Dan a few minutes ago?

"Oh my God!" Austin exclaimed. I looked at him and he looked rather stressed.

"What?" I asked.

"We're late!" he said, pointing at the clock. "You're supposed to meet up with Mrs. V before practice! We have to go!" He said. I was so utterly confused. I wasn't supposed to meet up with her.

"What are you ta--" I started. He grasped my wrist and yanked me along. I stumbled after him, weaving through the halls. "What the hell?" I started. We stopped suddenly. He pulled me close and my eyes widened.

"Why was he there?!" he asked.

Oh.

"He was just helping Austin. He offered to help make it look like it was normal to all the freshmen." I explained.
