Hey.

Enjoy~

(Y/n)'s POV

"First day of summer," I commented and Dan glanced over at me. "We should do something,"

"(Y/n), it's like a billion degrees out," Dan said and I flipped back onto his bed.

"Ugh, I know,"

"What did you have in mind?"

"I don't know, outdoorsy things," I said.

"What? Heatstroke?"

"Shut up,"

"Well we can just lay here," he suggested and let out a loud breath. "Too boring?" I glanced to my left where he was sprawled out and nodded. "Why don't we watch a movie, it's colder downstairs too!"

"Sure," he sat up and I let out a huff, "carry me,"

"(Y/n), you lazy bum,"

"I'm not denying it, carry me please," he chuckled and his hands slipped under my back and legs, carrying me mermaid style down the stairs.

"Ugh you're kind of sweaty,"

"So are you," I said and he plopped me down on the cool couch.

"Disney movie?" He asked and I nodded, stretching out my back.

"You know Danny, you should get yourself a girl,"

"And why is that,"

"Hmm I don't know, you'd treat her nice and I think you'd be happy," I said. Why the hell was I saying all of this?!

"Oh really," he said, slipping a disk into the player. "Who?"

"Hmm?"

"Who do you have in mind?" He asked, a grin on his face.

"I don't know," he came to sit down next to me, placing my legs in his lap.

"I'm good, I'm just fine," he said. I just nodded and looked to the movie.

"The Little Mermaid?"

"What's wrong with that?"

"Nothing I just didn't expect you to pick that," I said. "I was expecting Lion King or something,"

"I'm not Phil," I glanced over at him and he was grinning.

"What?"

"Dork," he commented. I let out a fake offended scoff.

"How dare you!" I said, slapping a hand to my chest. He rolled his eyes and I turned back to the movie, smiling to myself. After the movie, Dan's mum called us in for dinner.

"I just don't understand why she wants to be on land so bad, I mean it sucks up here," Dan said.

"If I knew you were going to do this for the entire evening I wouldn't have agreed to watch that movie with you,"

"I'm just confused!" I heard a little chuckle from the kitchen and his mum came out putting food in front of us.

"You two,"

"I'm not watching Disney movies with you anymore,"

"What why?"

"Because I don't need you criticizing how Snow White doesn't follow stranger danger rules,"

"SHE ATE AN APPLE FROM AN OLD HAG IN THE WOODS!"

"Dan, volume," his mum commented and I laughed.

"And I certainly don't need you analyzing gay propaganda in The Lion King,"

"Simba, king of the Pridelands was the best guy and you know what? He was raised by two dudes,"

"Yes, yes he was, but can't you just enjoy the Disney for what it is," he gave me a look which I mimicked.

"Such a married couple," Mrs, Howell said and I felt my fave go warm.

"Mum," Dan scolded and I smirked. We ate dinner and I sat back in my chair.

"There's a fair this weekend, do you want to go with Phil and and Zoe?"

"Sure, that sounds fun," he said, smiling.

"Great, first we're getting candy floss and the Ferris wheel at night, that's all I request," I said.

"I swear if Phil makes us ride the carousel,"

"What do you have against carousels?"

"Everything, makes you look like a total weirdo and it's just not worth it," he said as we headed upstairs again.

"Wow okay Debbie Downer," I said, "I'll be sure to keep you far away from a carousel."

"That would mean the world to me,"

"I'm glad,"

We flopped back on the bed and I stared up at the ceiling.

"Wait, I have something for you," he said. He disappeared into his wardrobe, digging around in the drawers. He pulled out a large sheet, the good side opposite to me. He shut off the lights, jumping back to the bed.

"Dan what are y--" he flipped the sheet and it was a large glow in the dark sticker of the moon. I glanced over at him.

"Now you can look at it whenever you want, not just in the museum or outside," he said, grinning at me.

"Thank you," I said, pulling him into a hug, "you're the actual sweetest sometimes," he handed me the page and rather than turning the lights back on we just laid back again, staring up into the dim lighting. "This is why you should have a girlfriend you know,"

"'This again,"

"What it's true!" I said, feeling my heart burn as I said it. Why I kept mentioning it was beyond me.

"(Y/n), I don't need that,"

"Well you need someone else to be nice to, not just me I feel guilty,"

"I don't need anyone else, seeing you happy is reward enough," he said, "besides, I'm just making up for everything." He said. It was silent for a while and I swallowed.

"You don't have to," I whispered.

"But I want to," he reiterated and I felt his fingers brush against my hand.

"I already forgave you,"

"But I didn't for myself," he said.

"Thanks," I said, pulling my hand away so it wasn't touching. I stood up and flipped on the light, hugging the moon to my stomach. "I'm going to head home, I'll see you," he sat up and glanced at me, nodding.

"See you," I disappeared down the stairs and out the door into the heat. I could tell he was watching from the window, but I just quickly headed home, my face and body warm with heat.

Eh not good chapter.

Stay awesome!
