I walked up to the door. It has been vacant ever since I have left. The only the cleaning staff was allowed in every 2 months. I took the old key, I had and opened the door. I closed it behind me and walked into the house. The white walls illuminated as the moon shined on them. Everything was basically gone. There were vases with no flowers, lights with no light bulbs. I used the flashlight on my phone to look around. I walked around the kitchen where I found things that reminded me of the past.
I decided to go to my old room. I walked up the stairs, and opened my door. My room was empty, still painted the light blue color. I walked around it remembering the preapration of clothes and makeup, hours before my father's accident. I walked into my closet. It had some clothes stored in boxes that I decided not to take with me, to the new house.
I grabbed a box and took the key to open it. For some reason, I felt as if i should of never come or even opened the box. As I opened it, I found tons of letters in it. The were in stacks according to state.
I opened one letter from a girl and her family in Georgia. She wished me luck of copeing with my father's death. She also talk out her own problems with losing her father. She gave ideas of what to do, inorder to help with the pain. She wished me good luck on my journey and hoped for the best. I smilied after reading it, and began to open more. Some would bring me to tears, on how nice these people were, where others made me laugh so hard. It felt good to read them, understanding people, and how they cared about me.
I put the letter back into the box and placed it back in the closet. I took the girl from Georgia's letter with me. I wanted to write back to her, and tell her thank you for all the helpful tips.
I stuffed it into the clutch I had and went toward the door. I check my phone and it was already really late. I decided to drive back to the hotel and go to bed.
******
I approached the hotel, parking in the VIP area and then walked in to see my dad. I couldn't find him, so I just picked a room in the suite and fell asleep on the bed not bothering to change.
I woke up bright and early in the morning, which was much to my surprise. I hopped out of bed and ran right into the door. I stummbled out of my room rubbing my head and walked over to the kitchen area. I found myself a bowl and some ceral. I ate a bit and began to write. I thanked her for her kindness, and the helpful tips. I sealed it off and started to change too go ahead and run some tasks.
"Hey," said someone. I flipped my head around and saw a sleep Liam.
"Hey," I said.
"You are up early," he said grabbing some juice.
"Yeah, I have to go do some stuff be for tomorrow," I said.
"Can I come with you," he asked.
"Well..I don't think it is the best idea," I said.
"Really come on," he said.
"I guess," I said.
"Great, give me five mintues," he said. We got ready and left with out anyone else up.
Liam offered to drive. So the first place was to the post office. I mailed the letter and then we headed to do some shopping. We spent a lot of time and money there. We finally ate and came to the conclusion of the trip. I wanted to give the hair to the doctor to do a DNA test.
I told Liam to wait in the car. i walked in and saw the doctor. I gave her the hair and she told me to wait. It wouldn't take that long.
I waited and waited and she came back with the results.
"No," she said. I shock my head and left. Harry was a complete no. I walked back out to the car.
"Allyson, what were you doing in the hospital," he asked.
"Finding my future husband," I said in a cocky way.
"No really, I saw you in the baby section," he said, "You gave the doctor something".
"It was nothing, " I said, "Just some paperwork".
He nodded his head. I could tell he knew I was lying, but it seemed he didn't want to push the subject that much. The car ride to the hotel was completely silent.
