Ever since the whole reassuring of my children being able to live after they reach maturity, things have changed. The twins grew up into their teenage years and they were great. A century has gone by and the twins still look like they are 16/17, they look like they could be my siblings.
Today was different though. Since we have been living with the Volturi, they have decided to throw us a ball. I don't know why but I'm guessing it for us being with them for 100 years and being their guard.
"Momma?" I heard Veronica's light voice as she opened my bedroom door slightly.
"Yes love?"
She entered my room and I couldn't help but smile at the beautiful dress she was wearing, it was all black. She looked like her father and it pained me, but she is also a part of me and I love her despite who her father is.
"My goodness V you look so beautiful!"
Veronica smiled nervously and began to fiddle with her fingers, "You think so momma?"
I smiled and gave her a huge hug, "I know so.." I studied at her face and furrowed my eyebrows, "what's wrong?"
"I'm nervous..."
I shook my head and began to play with my daughter's hair, "don't be, once you hit that dance floor and begin to talk to people you won't be as nervous."
Veronica smiled and then Charles came in the room with a huge grin on his face.
"Aunt Heidi said to get in our places." He said, his voice filled with joy and confidence. He was wearing an all black suit, he didn't want to add any red until his uncle gave him his diamond. Aro was like a uncle to the twins, he was the fun uncle of course.
"Ok, I want you both to stay behind me alright?"
Charles furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head, "oh no momma I'm staying in between you and V. You never know what these vampires can do."
I let out a chuckle and gave Charles a small nod, "ok baby that's fine."
We all walked to the hall in front of the double doors and once we reached the them, Charles wrapped his arms around his sister's waist and mine to keep us protected. He was always alert whenever people were around us, no matter who they were.
They both smiled at me and if it was even possible, my heart slightly felt like it was in pain. I wish they didn't have to be apart of this but they are...
I pushed a thought into Aro's mind letting him know that we are here and that we are ready to come join him.
"Welcome my fellow people!" I heard him say, "today we have asked you celebrate the new members of our kind! As we all know a century ago, we were gifted with two remarkable children who were given to us by a human named Y/n. The twins were born! while she was still human.. Charles has power absorption and power negation, his twin sister Veronica can detect power and can do illusions on a person's mind, and Y/n who I knew would gain power after her rebirth, can control someone's mind, manipulate memories, and can push thoughts into others no matter how powerful they are, all which are useful to our kind if there is any threat. So let's celebrate them, their power, and their welcome!"
