Making my way towards my girlfriend's house, I couldn't help but feel really happy knowing I was going to see her. Sadly today I couldn't walk her home as something happened right after school, and it upset me even more since lately Spider-Man duties has been taking over my time. But now that I got time that's all that matters.
When I walked in her apartment from the window in her room, I called out her name but received no answer. It wasn't until my spidey senses felt off.
"Y/n?" I called out again, this time going out to her living room.
Usually when she gets home, she eats and finishes homework she didn't get done. She never goes out unless it's to get something from the grocery store if her parents are going to be late.
I was starting to get worried, I made my way back into her room and saw her bathroom light on. I tried to open the door but it wouldn't open, so I knocked.
"Y/n?"
No answer.
My gut, my heart, and my senses all started to give me a nervous feeling, so I knocked again but this time louder and harder.
"Y/n?!" I called out frantically.
I walked back and then busted through the door, my eyes landing on my unconscious girlfriend with a bottle and a few pills all over her. I began to shake, I didn't understand and I was scared. I quickly bent down to her side and pulled her to my chest, calling out her name.
"No no no Y/n please! Don't leave me! Why did you do this?! What did you do!" I cried, trying to keep myself together. I checked for a pulse and freaked out even more when I didn't feel anything.
"K-Karen call an ambulance!" I yelled at my suit, that was in my backpack, hopefully she was able to hear me. I never made a phone call without the suit on.
"Y/n please!" I begged.
Opening her mouth, I shoved two fingers down her throat in hopes she would gag and eventually she did. I shoved my fingers deeper and pulled them away when Y/n turned to the side to throw up.
I never felt more relieved but that didn't stop me from still feeling nervous and scared.
Y/n threw up a bunch of the pills out and coughed as I cried and patted her back. She slowly looked at me with a horrified look on her face and I could feel she was scared too.
"Pete..." she whispered softly.
"Oh my god," I sobbed, pulling her close. "Why did you do that?"
Y/n cried in my arms and we both waited for the ambulance to come. Eventually they did and so did Mr. Stark in his iron suit. When he walked in the bathroom and saw the pills, the vomit, and Y/n and I holding each other he clicked two and two together.
"Let me take her Peter," he said softly, trying to gently pull Y/n and I apart.
"No!" I yelled, holding my girlfriend close.
"Kid please."
"No! I need to hold her."
"They need to take her to the hospital Peter."
I looked up at him and felt my lips tremble. When you love someone and experience the feeling that you were going to lose them, was a feeling that was terrible.
-
"Where is she?" Mj asked as she ran towards me.
"In the room, she's resting." I mumbled.
"Jesus where the hell were you Peter? She told me she was with you!"
I looked at her with wide eyes and was about to speak but all I did was stutter. She huffed and rushed inside the room and Ned came up to me, pulling me into a big hug.
"Ignore her Pete, it's not your fault." He said softly.
I could feel my tears come up again, Y/n almost died, keeping my secret.
"She covered for me Ned," I whispered, my voice cracking. "She kept my secret."
-
"I haven't been a good boyfriend," I muttered to Ned. He was sitting across from me in the hospital cafeteria. He said I needed to get something to eat or drink since I looked tired and dehydrated from all the crying.
"Don't say Peter," He sighed and shook his head.
"She almost killed herself Ned!"
"You saved her!"
I leaned back against my chair and crossed my arms, shaking my head. "I should've walked her home."
Ned looked down and it got my attention. When it came to me bring myself down, Ned always found a way to make me feel better.
"Did she say anything to you?" I asked.
Ned looked at me, sighed, and nodded his head. "She was starting to feel lonely... she missed you but you know how she is. She's stubborn when it comes to expressing her feelings. She was so scared something was going to happen to you, with you always calling last minute to cancel and barely seeing her besides school. It was starting to take a toll on her." He paused and looked down, "I guess it really got to her."
"Peter?" I heard a soft voice say. Interrupting me from saying anything back to Ned. I turned my head and saw Y/n's mom staring at me with teary eyes. I was quick to move on my feet.
"Is she ok?" I asked.
Mrs. Y/l/n bit her lip and shook her head, making my heart drop and my head spin.
"They don't know if she's gonna wake up, she took too many pills."
Tears streamed down my face and I began to run towards Y/n's room. Her mom and Ned called out my name but I ignored them. I needed to see my girlfriend.
"Y/n?" I ran up to her body and sat her up gently, taking her into my arms. I stroked her hair and began to cry, begging her to not leave me. I apologized, I told her I love her. I said anything in case she didn't wake up. Because of what happened with Uncle Ben... I don't think I can mess up with Y/n.
"Please come back to me." I cried.
"It feels like home in your arms Pete." I heard a voice rasp out.
I looked down at Y/n and saw her slowly open her eyes, squinting at the bright light in her room. I sobbed in relief and didn't notice I was shaking until she took my hand into hers and kissed it.
"I'm so sorry," she whispered as tears fell from her eyes.
"We're both here now." I smiled gently down at her, pressing my forehead against hers.
Too young to be in love but I'm not in love. I'm madly in love.
