"I'm nervous," I told Tom, my hands fidgeting as we were in front of his house. 9 months together and I still haven't meet his parents, besides talking to them over the phone.
"You'll be fine," he reassured. Kissing my temple, I let out a shaky sigh and nodded my head.
We both made our to the front door and Tom walked in, immediately being greeted by Tessa. It calmed my nerves down a little because I actually met Tes before.
"Hey babygirl," I cooed softly, petting her and giving her a kiss.
"Mum! Tom's home!"
Instantly looking up, the beautiful family came to view. I've meet Harry and Sam before as well, I invited them on a vacation but I haven't meet Paddy or the parents. Obviously.
"Hi! I'm Paddy!" Tom's little brother grinned up at me. He looked a lot like Sam.
Giggling a little, I introduced myself. "I'm Y/n."
"You're a lot prettier in person," he said with a nod.
"He's not wrong," A female voice said. Looking away from Paddy, I locked eye contact with Tom's mother. She was beautiful, she looked very beautiful in person too.
"Likewise!" I grinned, sticking my hand out. "I'm Y/n it's so nice to finally meet you!"
"Oh sweetheart put that hand down and give me a hug! It's so nice to finally meet you too! I was starting to think you were just a paid actress." She joked, pulling me into an embrace. It felt really comforting.
"Don't hog her now Nikki, I need to meet her too." Dominic chuckled, pulling me into a hug after Nikki and I pulled away.
"We heard a lot about you from Tom darling," he said.
I pulled away and Tom came to my side, placing his arm around my waist. "I hope they're good things." I laughed a little. Harry piped in.
"Oh yeah he's told mum and dad how lazy you are."
"Even said you pick your nose a sometimes," Sam joined.
We all laughed and made our way into the dining room. My nostrils immediately being filled with the scent of delicious food that was placed on the table. I was in awe, Tom was right. His mom does make a ton of good food.
"Oh wow this all looks delicious Mrs. Holland." I said as I sat down when Tom pulled the chair out for me.
"Call me Nikki dear, Mrs. Holland is only used for work purposes."
I smiled at her and we all began to eat. Tom's parents asked questions here and there, and so did Paddy. His parents told a few stories and I told mine, laughing at any part that was hilarious.
"Do you need any help?" I asked Nikki. She was washing the dishes and throwing left overs away that were on the plates.
"Yes dear could you please dry off the dishes and put them in the cabinet after?"
I gave her a small 'mhm' and grabbed a dry cleaning cloth, wiping the wet dishes, and putting them aside to put away later.
"Is it hard?" Nikki asked, catching my attention. I looked at her with a confused look on my face and she laughed a little when she saw.
"I mean is it hard being with Tom when his work has him far away sometimes?"
I shook my head, "not really, I'm away too as I'm a chemistry teacher. So I'm busy full time with kids and grading papers, and figuring out the next day's agenda."
"Good," Nikki smiled. "I'm glad, you make my son happy a lot and I love that. You're a sweet girl."
I gave her a smile and we both finished cleaning the kitchen. Afterwards I made my way into the living room and saw Paddy doing some homework.
"What you working on bud?" I asked, placing a hand on the back of his chair.
"Some chemistry homework but I'm having trouble balancing." He mumbled. I could tell he was a little frustrated.
I was slightly surprised but entirely not. Balancing equations was something some of my students got confused on.
"I could help you if you'd like," I offered. Paddy looked at me and nodded.
"Please!"
Smiling, I lowered myself down to his level and looked over the equation he was stuck on. It was a tricky but not too tricky.
"Ok well first off we know the equation on the left has to match the equation from the right. Meaning whatever we have on the left has to equal from the right." I began to explain, "see on the left you have 2 Fe, 3 O, plus 3 C and that makes 4 Fe plus 3CO2."
Grabbing his pencil, I began to write down the numbers and the elements. Explaining more and going slowly, I was completely oblivious to the fact that Tom and his parents were watching Paddy and I.
• Tom's POV •
Walking downstairs from the bathroom, I looked around for Y/n but stopped when I saw her helping Paddy out with his homework. I've never really seen Y/n in her teacher mode and seeing her now was a beautiful sight. Only 22 years old but I couldn't help but imagine her teaching our future kids.
"She's a sweet girl," I heard my mum say. She appeared to my side and she too was watching Y/n. I smiled at her and nodded, returning my gaze to my girlfriend.
"Yeah she is."
"What are you guys watching?" My dad asked, coming up behind me and mum.
"Look how good she is with Paddy, Dom." My mum whispered.
"Is she helping Paddy with his Chem homework?" He asked.
"Yes! She's a Chemistry teacher!"
"Oh good! Paddy told me he's been having some trouble with it lately."
My mum smiled, "oh she's lovely." She said in awe.
I couldn't help but smile wide and proud. Y/n is lovely, she's the most incredible woman I know.
"She is and she's the one mum."
Both my parents looked at me with big grins on their faces and hugged me tightly. Y/n is the one for me.

Sorry that requests are taking forever. I've been trying to get some of my grades up and choir competitions have been taking over too.
I also come home and want to relax before I start doing homework but then after that it gets late and a new day starts. So I only start writing when I feel like it or have the time.
I'm still posting requests but it's gonna take time (:
