Watching my friends enjoy themselves in the party bus as they drinked and danced. I couldn't help but get in the mood of dancing myself. I stood up with a red cup in my hand and started twerking on Zendaya who was laughing and enjoying herself.
The Spider-Man cast and I decided to go out and have fun at a bar. Very chill back, not to crowed. We just wanted to go to a place where we wouldn't be bothered to much.
Right now we were in a party bus, although we wanted a chill back night out, that doesn't mean we couldn't go crazy before doing so.
The party bus arrived to the bar and Tom helped me out of the bus considering I was a bit tipsy. We all made our way inside and immediately order drinks and some wings. Who doesn't love some wings?
I sat on Tom's lap and had conversations with the cast. We were laughing, drinking, eating, telling jokes until Zendaya came up with a great of doing some karaoke.
"No!" The cast playfully whined.
"Yes!" Z said going up to the little stage the bar had, "I'll go first." She winked, picking a song.
We all cheered her on and recorded her, posting her all over our social media's because we were drunk and we wanted to have fun. After Zendaya went, she pointed the mic towards me and I shook my head.
"No," I said, waving my hand. "No I'm not gonna do it."
"Awe c'mon Y/n!" Jacob said.
Tony grinned and nudged Jacob, "Yeah come on Y/n sing us a song!"
I looked back at Tom and he grinned. Tom has never heard me sing, actually none of the cast has heard me sing before. I always sang in front of family and a few friends but never in front of these friends and I didn't know why.
"Ok ok fine." I chuckled, going up to the stage.
I grabbed the mic from Zendaya and chose Bottom Of The River by Delta Rae. I looked a few people to see if they know this song and for some reason they instantly knew I needed a few back singers. They came on stage and the song started to play.
"Hold my hand, ooh, baby, it's a long way down to the bottom of the river." I started softly. "Hold my hand, ooh, baby, it's a long way down, a long way down. If you get sleep or if you get none."
The back singers sang, "the cock's gonna call in the morning, baby."
"Check the cupboard for your daddy's gun."
"Red sun rises like an early warning."
"The Lord's gonna come for your first born son."
"His hair's on fire and his heart is burning."
"So go to the river where the water runs."
"Wash him deep where the tides are turning," I placed the mic on the mic stand and began to decrescendo. "And if you fall..."
"If you fall." All of us increased our voices into harmonies.
I was really surprised, these people I don't even know where able to make harmonies with me. It's probably because of the octave I chose to sing this song in.
"Hold my hand. Ooh, baby, it's a long way down to the bottom of the river. Hold my hand. Ooh, baby, it's a long way down, a long way down. The wolves will chase you by the pale moonlight."
The back up singers looked at me and sang, "drunk and driven by a devil's hunger."
"Drive your son like a railroad spike," I increased my voice a little for a stronger sound.
"Into the water, let it pull him under."
"Don't you lift him, let him drown alive."
"The good Lord speaks like a rolling thunder."
"Let that fever make the water rise. And I said, hold my hand. Ooh, baby, it's a long way down to the bottom of the river. Hold my hand. Ooh, baby, it's a long way down, a long way down. Hold my hand. Ooh, baby, it's a long way, a long long long way. Hold my hand. Ooh, baby, it's a long way down, a long way down."
Everyone clapped and cheered and I thanked the people who sang with me, telling them they were very talented because of how they harmonized with me. I walked back to my group of friends who were totally speechless and surprised I had a loud strong voice for a tiny girl like me. I sometimes surprise myself.
"Oh my god Y/n how come I never heard you sing before?!" Tom asked, pulling me close to him. I shrugged.
"I don't know, I guess it just doesn't happen around you." I chuckled.
"Have you ever considered using your voice as a career?" Zendaya asked with her mouth hung open. I chuckled again.
"Not really, singing is more like a hobby I guess."
"Well you're very talented," Jacob said surprisingly.
I thanked him and listened to the rest of the cast telling me to go sing another song. I laughed and waved them away, sitting back in Tom's lap.
