Just keep your head low.. maybe they won't notice.
I made my way through the halls of Midtown while keeping my head low and keeping my pride low. I can feel my heartbeat pound against my chest and I could hear it in my ears. My eyes are swollen from all the crying I have been doing, my throat hurting from all the sobbing and screaming, I was hurting and I just didn't know what to do anymore.
"Hey Y/n! What's up!?" Ned asked me as I approached my locker. I slightly looked at him but still kept my head low.
"Hey Ned." I said my voice hoarse.
Ned furrowed his eyebrows and leaned down to look at me, "Y/n.. are you ok?"
I tucked my hair behind my ear and looked at Ned who got a clear view of my puffy face, my blood shot eyes, and the clear sadness written all over my face. I was tired and he knew, he just wished he knew a little bit sooner. My description may sound a bit dramatic but it's not my eyes aren't that bloodshot but they are red, my nose was a bit red, my face was flushed. I looked sad and tired, miserable.
"Oh Y/n." Ned said softly. My eyes began to tear up and my bottom lip began to quiver.
"I lost him Ned.. I lost him and now he's with h-h-her."
Ned pulled me into a tight hug and I cried into his shoulder, sobbing my heart out. I didn't know a heartache could cause me this much pain.
"I'm so sorry!" I sobbed into Ned's shoulder, "I'm so sorry."
"Shh," Ned cooed, holding me tight, "don't be sorry Y/n, you're gonna be ok just let it out."
Although he was nerd, he still knew how to comfort people when it came to it. While I was crying into Ned's shoulder, Ned was staring at Peter who held MJ's hand as they walked down the hall. Peter looked at Ned with concern when saw him holding a girl who was crying but when he noticed it who it was, his jaw clenched and he turned his attention back to his new girlfriend, walking her to class.
"It's gonna be ok." Ned said softly, his heart breaking at the sight of his second best friend broken. He knew she didn't mean to push Peter away but then again Pete pushed her away too for Spider-Man duties, and although he loved his best friend and thought him being Spider-Man was cool it still pissed me him every once in a while that Peter would put that first instead of reality. He let his one true love slip away from his grasp.
