"So Y/n.."

I looked up at my dad from reading a book and raised my eyebrow.

"So dad."

He pursed his lips at me and sat up straight from his chair, leaning forward, "do you like Peter?"

I closed my book and sat up straight myself, "do you like Sharon?"

My dad smiled at me but his face went back to serious, "do you though?"

I shrugged and ran my fingers through my hair. My dad and I have a good relationship. I tell him everything and he tells me everything, that's how we roll.

"I don't know pops.. I mean.. do I really have time to like a boy?"

My dad shrugged and pursed his lips again, "you can if you make time."

"Why should I though?"

"Because you never do, I mean come on doll you're always worried about me, The Avengers, and yourself why not a boy? Why not live a normal life?"

I frowned at my dad and sighed, "because you don't and everything about my life isn't normal. I'm a human with supernatural powers and.." I sighed little while shrugging my shoulders, "I don't want my heart to get broken."

My dad made an "ah ha" face and sat down next to me, wrapping his arm around my shoulder pulling me close.

"You're heart is going to get broken in many ways love and yes you're right your life isn't normal. I shouldn't have said that but with Peter? Let loose he seems like a nice boy and you're a nice girl."

I raised my eyebrow, "nice?"

"Well decent."

I chuckled and leaned my head on his shoulder. Maybe I should give Peter a chance.

A week has past since my dad told me to give Pete a chance and honestly... it went down hill. Peter started hanging out with this girl named Gwen, he seemed very fond of her and I knew my chance was too late. I knew Peter for about a couple months and by the time I was ready to open my heart. I was late.

I watched Peter talk to Gwen inside of the headquarters and sighed, she knew about him and Tony trusted him but then again we could always make her forget.

"How you holding up doll?" I heard my dad ask from behind me. I slightly looked over my shoulder and returned my attention to the Spider-ling and his girlfriend.

"Alright I guess."

My dad stood by next to me and watched Peter himself. I knew he felt bad for telling me to go for it but like he said... my heart was gonna get broken anyways.
