SURPRISE SURPRISE ANOTHER UPDATE

Drew's POV

     I. Hate. Chance. Perez.

It might be obvious, but it helps to get it out. He took my girlfriend and most of my friends then acted like he was the victim. There were 12 of us, a tight knit group of friends. It was made up of Mikey, both Andrews, Gavin, Michael, Devin, Chance, Cam, Miles, Cameron, Jon, and myself. We were told we'd be lucky if all 12 of us could make it through high school as close as we were. There were some small problems in there, some personality clashes, but nothing too bad. That's until "the great divide" as Cam likes to call it, happened.

Chance took everyone but Cam, Jon, and Butcher, not including me. It hurt, really bad. We were discarded as if we were nothing. Some of the guys occasionally tried to reach out to us like Michael and Mikey, but then Chance found out and was pissed.

Then, Michael and Miles had a huge falling out that everyone saw coming. There was always something sour there. Miles always tried to mess with Michael, but this time he fucked up, really bad.

Miles kicked Michael out of the group (I'm still baffled how that happened. Chance was in charge, and Michael was one of his favorites.) and we happily took him in. He was one of the few boys who decided to not be assholes to us. Now, there were five of us, two freshman and three sophomores.

The next school year, Cam had three friends who were freshman, Brady, Dorian, and Jaden. They all liked the same type of stuff we did. It automatically clicked. We had a solid eight then, and we have a solid eight now. Chance is even trying to change that right now, making it seven. No way in hell am I letting that happen.

"Drew, we need to go. We have a meeting," Michael interrupts my train of thought, bringing me back to reality.

     "For what?" I ask.

"It's a band meeting. Didn't Bella tell you?" he questions, and I shake my head.

"No cause she was too busy fantasizing about you," I smirk, making him roll his eyes. "You're only rolling your eyes because you know it's true."

"Am I? Am I really?" he questions, and I nod.

"Positively," I answer as soon as we get to the room we are having the meeting in. Sergio and Chance are already here. I nearly start laughing out loud at Chance's face. There is a scratch mark across his right cheek. He has a black eye that is covered with a pair of sunglasses just like mine. He also has a huge bruise on the other side of his face.

"Hi boys," Mrs. Martin greets us as soon as we make it into the room. She's probably just here for a little bit to make sure none of us kill each other.

"Hi Mrs. Martin. How was your weekend?" Michael asks, setting his backpack down in a chair.

"Good. It was nice to get away for a while. It also gave the kids some space. Right Bella?" Mrs. Martin asks her daughter who is sitting in a chair behind her.

      "Of course mom," she responds.

---

It's been an hour, a full hour, and Brady hasn't shown up yet. Chance invited his friends in, so they are all in a huddle taking up most of the room. They keep glaring at us, but I'm pretty sure none of us actually care. I think they're playing truth or dare.

Mrs. Martin and I are playing go fish. I have no idea what Michael and Bella are doing. It looks like they're just walking around the room, but I know there has to be something more.
