Chance's POV
"Wait, so what happened with your daughter again?" Alex asks as we walk through the halls hands connected.
"Well... ummm... the girl I had the baby with didn't think I was ready to be a dad. She thought it was best if she raised the kid without me. She moved away with my daughter who I've never met," I sigh a hand through my hair. It sucks, not being there to see your own child grow up. I want to be a good dad, but I never get the chance. Emma took Brooklyn, and there is nothing I can do about it. She has full custody of her and refused to tell me where the two of them moved to.
"Aww Chance I'm so sorry," Alex embraces me, wrapping her arms around my arms. I wrap my arms around her, and we stand there in the middle of the hallway.
"It's fine. Brooklyn is probably better off without me," I shrug, and she looks at me like I'm an idiot.
"Who is better off without you? Literally no one," she softly kisses me, making me smile.
"Thank you," I coo before hearing a loud scoff.
"I see you've found a replacement Emma. Who'd you steal her from this time?" Drew asks, leaning on a locker.
"It was an accident Drew. The two of us were drunk let it go," I urge, trying to not get Alex tied into this. The last thing I would want would be for her to get hurt somehow by this rivalry.
"How can I get over loosing the one girl I've actually loved because of you and your charming looks?" Drew laughs mockingly. He seems so out of place without having two of his wingmen around him at all times.
"By not telling her to kill her daughter! I might not know my daughter, but her not being here would tear me up," I snap, making him scoff.
"You won't understand. It's easy for you to pick any girl up just by looking at them. It's easy for you to get girls to toy with like this one. I don't have girls throwing themselves at me and at that, I want a genuine relationship. I had it. You stole it, and now you are just finding another toy to play with," he snarls, gesturing towards Alex.
"Alex is not a toy," I defend, and he shrugs.
"Sure looks like it," Drew responds, and I loose it. I walk over to him and grab him by the collar.
"Don't you dare accuse me of that because that's a complete lie," I grit, and he glares at me.
"It's not an accusation if I know it's true," he remarks, and I completely loose it. I slam my fist into his stomach, making him curl over. He slaps me across the face, and that's where it starts. It's a fest of punching, hitting, and kicking.
"Stop you two!" some teacher scolds, but we keep hitting each other.
"Chance stop," Alex urges. I take a deep breath before pushing Drew away and stepping back. His nose is bleeding, and there are going to be several bruises scattered on his face. There's a ringing sound in my ear along with several spots on me stinging.
"Mr. Perez, Mr. Ramos. My office now!" the principal, Ms. Brown, scolds. The two of us huff before hesitantly following her. I give Alex a hand heart before we get out of her vision.
"What happened?" Devin sighs as he sees me trailing behind the principal. He's walking down the hall with his arm around Skyler.
"This jerk decided to accuse me of using Alex as a toy," I huff.
"I'll go find Alex. We have the same class next period," Skyler looks up at Devin since he is literally a foot taller than her.
"Okay babe. I'll see you later," he smiles, bending over to kiss her before she walks off.
