Dislikes: Dismal atmospheres, season cookies, thunderstorms, superiority complexes.
What are season cookies?

Strengths: Mechanics, strength (physical), programming.

Weaknesses: Swimming (Not very good at it), temper, daring nature.
What's daring nature?  I don't know if the cookies and nature things are cultural?  Maybe I'm just being dumb...it is 1am...

Execution:
Execution name: Mechanical Mitosis
She struggled against the mechanical claw that dragged her closer and closer to her fate.  She screamed, begging for help, forgiveness, something.  However she received none.  Instead she was dropped into a room filled to the brim with gears and cogs and such, and in the centre was a console, most likely what controlled this execution she was in.
However, she'd seen previous ones, and she knew that there was no escape.  But she wasn't going to go down without a fight.
The cogs whirled, some slow and some blindingly fast.  However, she's worked with all sorts of parts and it was pretty easy at first.  It seemed like the structure of whatever this was was unstable, and cogs and springs and everything were groaning and breaking and crashing.
Panic and adrenaline set in, sending her racing for the centre.  Yet her programming skills were nowhere near up to where she'd need to stabilise whatever kept this thing up and powered in time.  She desperately tried to process the code as fast as she could, but it wasn't fast enough.  She went to dodging and leaping as the things she stood on groaned and fell and shifted.
Then her arm got caught in a spinning gear, getting crushed and mangled.  She screamed, such a painful and tortured scream.  A blade then fell into her grasp, and with desperation she took it to her arm, trying to sever the pain from her body.  She wasn't really thinking clearly at this point.
She managed, but very quickly became woozy and dizzy from blood loss.  Stumbling and trying to stay conscious.  Her fate arrived none to soon, and put the poor girl out of her misery.
She was crushed, flattened, squashed, obliterated.  Her necklace, her golden lion necklace, landed on a platform where a Monokuma clone stood.  It was all that remained of her.  It picked it up and brought it back to the students.
The fierce lion was like a reminder to remain brave, despite what fearsome and terrifying things may lay ahead, things similar to how scary and gruesome it must have been to watch her die.  Whichever student cared about her most kept her necklace.
Monokuma sighed in content.  That had taken a twist!  He'd thought that the girl woulf kill herself to end the pain, not cut her arm off!
"And that is how a cell commits suicide."  He hummed.  He received stunned silence.  "What. don't you know about cell division and how cells go through checkpoints to make sure they're doing stuff properly, and if they're not, and can't fix the problem, they off themselves?  Dang, did you guys live under a rock?  Eh, no matter."
And that concluded another trial for life and death.
Holy CRAP.  That was vicious and cruel and so, SO Danganronpa.  The entire execution took a turn for the unexpected and just reading it I was cringing from the gore.
An Ultimate felled by their own Ultimate skill is such an interesting concept.
I LOVE IT.

Backstory: Her Father was the proud owner of Jackson's Mechanical Repair Shop, or JMRS for short.  There he provided loads of different mechanical services, and being his daughter Samantha was bound to pick up on a thing or two.  However, it turned out to not just be a thing or two.  Samantha learned quickly, often fiddling with spare parts in her Father's office while she waited for his work day to end. Then they could go home, where one of her other interests resided.
Programming.
Her Mother was a head programmer in a decent insurance company.  And sometimes she was still working when Samantha got home, and when this occurred she would fetch a stool and sit down by her Mother, her wide eyes moving across the screen as she watched her Mother code, willingly answering any questions her daughter had for her.  It was exciting, to say the least.
She created physical wonders, in her mind at least, with mechanics and electronic wonders on the computer.  However, she didn't get as much practise with coding since they only owned one computer at home.
However, that didn't stop her!  Her Father mentored her in the art of repairing things, and soon she was participating in competitions around the world for mechanics and engineering, as well as taking some advanced courses in school.  This is how she was noticed by Hope's Peak and invited to the school as the Ultimate Mechanical Engineer.
I like this backstory.  I would like to see a bit more about how she became so fiery, but its a good explanation of how she got her talent and really interesting how she managed to pick up not only her Father's, but also her Mother's talent.

Family:
Father: Matthew Reed Jackson
Mother: Serenity Faith Jackson

Other: She can also program decently.  Although she is not a programming genius or anything, she can get by.

Other than a few minor things, I really like Samantha and think she's an awesome character!  If you wanted to change her character design a little I would recommend possibly shortening the skirt, or changing it to shorts or pants (Less material to get caught).  I love the motif of her being catlike, and the colours definitely suit her personality.  I don't know if I was a bit harsher on this than usual...sorry if I was, I'm a bit rusty on the whole reviewing thing because nobody's been sending in OC's, haha.  In the end, this is all my opinion, and if you disagree I won't be upset, I'm just a rando on the internet anyways.
Samantha is a really interesting character and I'd love to see where she goes from here on!

Personality: 7/10
Character Design: 6.5/10
Originality: 8/10
Backstory: 8/10
Overall: 7.5/10
