I like her talent!

Appearance:  She has healthy white skin and analytic steel blue eyes.  She has jet black hair that is dyed dark brown at the tips, and it's naturally straight.  She wears a short sleeve black shirt underneath a navy winter jacket with white fluff around the hood.  She also has regular blue jeans and sneakers.
I like her design, but I would like to see some more things added to represent her being a hacker. Like Chiaki's hair clip to symbolise her being a gamer, maybe you could add a couple of badges or something internet and computer related? Otherwise it's really good so far!

Personality: Katelyn is a cold person and often projects this icy aura that is meant to keep people away, and if often works.  She usually distances herself from others, literally and emotionally, because she doesn't understand how to socialise and frankly can't be bothered to care.  Katelyn has some layers to her, and her outermost is her icy shell.  Her innermost is just a little girl that wants to ask her Mummy if she can go play with the other kids, and other normal things.  She wants to be a child again.  Deep down she does have compassion and empathy and she is secretly fond of cute things.  At times she might hear or see some of her peers struggling to lift something or struggling with a computer, and to most people's surprise she'll help.  She'll be blunt and somewhat rude about how she goes about it but the fact remains that she will help.  The way she behaves with others can certainly be confusing for others to deal with, especially if one moment she's a stoic ice demon without a heart and the next she's a stoic ice witch who just fixed your computer in like five minutes before giving you an icy glare and walking away.
But she likes to be confusing, it's more interesting that way.  Not to mention that people's expressions can be hilarious.
I would like to see more about her warm side to her personality and how long it would take before someone could break throug her shell and see that side of her, but so far her personality is really good and interesting! I love it!

Reaction to seeing death: She's indifferent and doesn't show much externally about how she's feeling.  It makes her seem heartless and like she doesn't care, but that prospect is easily refuted as she will dedicate herself to helping find evidence and clues.
This suits her.

Reaction to seeing death: (Of those who managed to get through her icy exterior) Her eyes would tear up almost instantly, and it would be obvious how much of an effort she would be making to not just start bawling her eyes out.  Her bottom lip would start to tremble and she'd try to speak, to ask if this was really happening and if they were really dead.  Then the waterworks would come and she wouldn't really give a shit about if she was destroying evidence or not.  She'd stumble forward and fall to her knees beside the fallen friend and cradle their head and just cry.
Someone would have to either forcefully drag her away or motivate her to find the killer by using justice or something as an incentive.  Afterwards she would be even colder than before and snap much easier.
However in the presence of just one person she would be quiet and look so tired.  Like she can't even keep up the act of being so hateful and angry anymore.
I really like this, it definitely suits her and I like that the rest of the group would have a chance to see the real her rather than the 'ice witch' persona she puts on.

Reaction to being accused of killing: She'd scoff and brush it off with an eye roll before calling her accuser a complete and utter idiot.  If she had evidence she'd state it, and if not she'd just say something like this, "Besides, you're not enough of a pain for me to take any precious time to kill you."  Before she'd promptly walk away to investigate.

A nitpick, 'not enough of a pain for me to kill you' makes it sound a bit like the victim is accusing her haha
