Name: Moriko Amada

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Nationality: Japanese

Personality: She's very quiet and extremely reclusive, having been a shut-in before the killing game.  By the time they get to introductions, she realises that the killing game only escalates her anxiety and renders her practically unable to uphold a conversation, much less give a proper greeting without running away and cursing herself for messing up.  For this reason, she's extremely awkward and quiet, but she tries desperately to fix this problem.  Over time, she pushes herself to hang out with people more, and while she never completely shakes off her anxiety, she makes noticeable improvement, no longer running away or stumbling over every other sentence, even though she does stutter a lot.  She becomes much more optimistic too, and tries her best to get the hang of talking to people.
I really like her personality, it's well planned and really sweet!

Appearance: She's kind of short (being 5'1) and is unhealthily pale.  She has vivid magenta eyes and messy, pinkish blonde hair that goes down to her knees with sideswept bangs that nearly covers her right eye.  She wears a short-sleeved button-up shirt under a black blazer, along with a dark red skirt and tie.  She also wears white knee-high socks and brown shoes.
I like her appearance! Her hair definitely gives her a very prominent silhouette and I like it a lot! I would like to see some more things appearance wise that relate to her talent, such as a notebook, maybe some pens or pencils or badges or something! Otherwise it's really good!

Sexuality: Straight

Backstory: From a young age, she was an adept artist and writer, and often would draw comics.  Teachers would often remark how well she did when art or writing was involved, and how excited she'd get when drawing and discussing comics and manga.  By the time she was in junior high, she had posted an original webcomic and gotten a lot of attention and positive feedback.  Eventually a publishing company had reached out to her and offered to publish her comics, an opportunity she thought would be beneficial.  She accepted the proposal and enjoyed the first year of work.  However, soon enough the publishers had asked if she could put more content in each chapter.  She would have refused, but she felt like it would have made her fans happy, and so she accepted.  Over time, she had been asked to do more and more, eventually forcing her to become a shut-in.  She worked tirelessly to meet deadlines, only coming out of her home for holidays, periods of time she embraced as she got to interact with her parents for once.  However, it never really lasted and she found herself starting to feel anxious whenever deadlines neared, afraid that she'd get distracted and mess up, in turn upsetting her fans.  She stopped replying to calls and texts and never found the time to read any mail that wasn't taxes or from her parents.  When she got the letter about joining Hope's Peak, she decided that if she went there and improved her skills, she could improve her skills and make her fans even happier.
I really like her backstory! It explains a lot about her and connects to her personality and appearance well!

Extra Info: A majority of her mail was concerned fans wanting to make sure she wasn't overworking herself, but she never got the time to read them.
That's really sweet and sad!

Talent: SHSL Mangaka

Reaction to seeing death: Often times, she'll pass out.  If not that, then she'd probably panic and scream and call for the others in tears.

Reaction to being accused: She'd be shocked and start stumbling over everything she'd try to say, practically crushed by the sudden pressure, even if she was completely innocent.
This suits her!

How would they kill: Nine times out of nine she wouldn't murder someone, but if she had to she'd probably think up a way to make a contraption so she wouldn't have to see the person die firsthand.  That, or doing it quickly and painlessly so no one had to suffer.

Execution: Moriko's thrown into a dark room with a table, a chair, drawing supplies, a stack of paper and a lamp.  A Monokuma shoves her in the chair and straps her legs and waist to it.  A small monitor pops out of nowhere and displays the message: "Start drawing!" before displaying a timer.  Soon enough, she almost uses up all the paper.  Suddenly a piece of metal in the shape of an envelope is flung at her from the darkness.  She gets distracted for a moment but continues, even as more and more pieces of metal get lodged in her back and arms.  She manages to finish just before the timer reaches zero, shocking Monokuma.  A door opens and Moriko drags herself back to the trial room, looking tired and bloody and devoid of all emotion.  Just after Monokuma mutters that she can go free after such a performance, she tugs a piece of metal from her arm free and stabs herself to death with it with a faint smile, shocking everyone even further.
I like this, but I'm not sure about her stabbing herself. She doesn't seem like the type to do something like that as, to me, she comes off as a character who would hold on to life. However the rest of it is really good and I love it!

Overall, Moriko is a really well-planned and intriguing character who I'd like to see more of in the future!
