Personality: Mirai is reckless, adventurous and rather uncaring. She does whatever she finds fun, not having any goals on what she wants to do in the future, and she can be very annoying and troublesome for others to handle. She's not too caring and good with others, either being brutally honest or lying, and often forgetting to take into consideration how her actions will affect other people. She's also rather playful and teases and messes with people a lot, at times taking it to the inconsiderate side but usually it's just loud and annoying. She is generally a decent person though, not nice or a good person; however she has no evil intentions and doesn't purposely ruin people's lives because she knows better, she's just an annoying little shit with little to no empathy and care for her own safety. She's rather smart, too, and really enjoy enjoys reading, however she gets bored with most stuff within a few weeks, a few months at most, leaving her with several skills she she picked up but lost interest in and just has now. She is also an arsonist, burglar, thief and most likely does other criminal stuff too, considering she had no guardians to stop her from any of that and was left with no money or proper stuff. She basically had to do it and now it's her occupation and just general life, it'd be hard to turn back so may as well just go all out.
I like her personality.  The arsonist thing is a little out of place, but her being a burglar and thief is an interesting idea.  I'm guessing the skills are probably kind of half-baked skills, as in she can kind of do things, but not very well.  I like her adventurous side, she seems to be a very energetic type.  The recklessness and lack of empathy are good ways to balance her personality and she's really well thought-out!

Appearance: Fluffy, shoulder length white hair (formerly brown during her childhood) and green eyes. She wears a black t-shirt with a closed green hoodie with rolled up sleeves over. The hoodie also has cat ears on the hood. She also wears black jeans and black and white converse.
Ooh, I like her design.  How come she has white hair?  I would like to see some more colour in her design.  Even if it's very muted, dull colours, you'll see in the DR universe that the creators stray away from using black as much as possible.  Sonia has an extremely dark blue dress, Chiaki has dark browns in her design instead of black, and Maki has very dark grey, but she also has a lot of red in her design.  Maybe give Mirai dark green converse as well?  I like her character design, though, but something a bit more reflective of her personality would be good.  Adding in a mask/gloves/something that makes her look more like a thief would be great!

Backstory: At the age of three, her parents somehow died (how is a spoiler, it's kind of meant to be a mystery). She was left with her five year old sister Sachiko, although a few years later they somehow got separated too, leading to Mirai being all alone in a pretty badly supervised orphanage, leading to her being allowed to do pretty much anything, and also that she had to take care of herself for the most part since she was more of an outsider and forgotten a bit. When she was five she met a boy named Shin, and as they grew up they only became closer and closer. She ended up becoming quite adventurous and clever, although very reckless. She kinda works with and helps Shin here and there, and also she tends to do whatever she wants to do and tries to have fun with her life.
I would like to hear more about Shin, he seems to be a very interesting character and I would like to see why Mirai helps him.  Usually having two dead parents is moving into the kind of Edge Sue persona, but if there's a good reason why Mirai's parents are dead then it's fine!  Her personality is well planned out as well, which makes her less of an Edge Sue.  Also, possibly Sachiko could have been adopted by a different family, and that's why Mirai and her were separated?  Just an idea, haha.

Reaction to seeing death: She's uncomfortable but kinda casual about it and gets to investigating quite quickly.
Do you mean casual as in unaffected?  Either way, it's interesting and I like it!

Reaction to being accused of killing: She'll try to use her persuasion skills to calmly convince them it's not her, and if they're not even trying to understand and listen she'll get pretty annoyed and done.
She seems more like the type that would get a bit antsy if she was accused, but getting annoyed when others aren't listening is good!

I like Mirai's character.  With a bit more work she could be an amazing character and I really like her!
