ELISA

"Oh god... What happened to you, Marco?" Hindi ako agad nakalapit sa kaniya dahil sa gulat ko.

This is not what I expected him to be. I thought a few days that he did not show up it's because he might have returned to Switzerland. But here he is, completely bruised.

"Marco..."  I came closer to him and stared at his face. Even though his face is sore, he still managed to smile.

"What are you doing here?" He asked me.

"I just want to visit you. Akala ko kasi, nauna ka na sa'min umuwi." Sabi ko.

He just looked at me.

"What happened to you? Huh?" I held his face.

"Who made you this?" I asked.

He just held my hand on his cheek and closed his eyes. I pity him.

"I'm okay..."

"No, hindi ako naniniwala. Ang dami mong sugat at pasa!"

He looked at me and smiled again. Although I knew that his wounds were still painful, he still smiled for me.

"Just treat my wounds, instead of scolding  me." He laughed so I shoved my hand away from him.

"Aw!"

"Oh god, sorry! Sorry, Marco!" Napayakap ako agad sa kaniya. Hindi ko naman sinasadya na masagi ang mga sugat niya.

"It's okay. Tara muna sa loob."

"O-Okay..." Hindi ko pa din inalis ang tingin ko sa kaniya.

Masakit 'yun!

"Here, let's eat." Nilapag ni Marco ang pizza na siya mismo ang gumawa.

"Are you sure you made this?" Biro ko sa kaniya.

"Yes! 3 araw ko 'yang pinag-aralan!" Napangiti ako.

"Oh, okay."

"Tikman mo." Napatingin ako sa kaniya.

"What?"

I leaned over where I was sitting and watched him.

"I will not eat it unless you tell me who has done that to you."

"Elisa..."

"Marco, I'm worried. Paano kung maulit ulit? Baka mamaya mapatay ka pa ng taong gumawa niyan sa'yo!" Napatigil siya sa sinabi ko.

"Elisa, hayaan mo na lang SIYA."

"Marco! Makinig ka sa'kin! Baka mamaya kung ano pang mangyari sa'yo—"

"DOMINIC."

Natigilan ako sa sagot niya.

"W—What?"

"Siya ang bumugbog sa'kin."

Hindi ako nakasagot dahil sa nalaman ko. Bakit niya ginawa 'yon kay Marco?! Ano bang ginawa sa kaniya ng tao?!

"Bakit?"

"I don't know his exact reason, but I'm sure it's about YOU."

Nangunot ang noo ko.

"At bakit ako, Marco?"

"Nagseselos siya sa'tin Elisa."

Yeah, I know that already! Pero hindi ko naman inakala na pati si Marco ay idadamay niya!

"Wala siyang karapatang mag-selos dahil wala na kami. And he has no right to involve you with his illusions!"
