Chapter 55

ELISA

My knees became weak as I entered my son's room. I leaned against the door as my hand rested on my chest and my breathing becomes heavier.

That was so close!

I don't know what else I will face tomorrow! I'm so stupid! I am disgusted with myself because I had taken so much of what Dominic had done to me earlier. And worse, I moaned! I pressed my head against the door.

I immediately went to the bathroom and took a bath. And even when I am bathing, memories earlier still haunt me. I quickly finished my bath and got dressed.

I woke up because of the ringing of my alarm. My head throbs in pain because I didn't get much sleep. It's daylight when I finally fall into sleep. I lay in bed and stared at the ceiling when I suddenly remembered what had happened this morning.

"Argh!" I lied my stomach in bed and closed my eyes. After a second, my cellphone's alarm rang again.

I searched for it next to me.

"What time is it — oh gosh!" I quickly got up from the bed when I saw it was noontime already.

I immediately called my secretary Kara as I rushed to the bathroom. When I realized that I was in my son's room, I quickly went out and go to my room. Maybe my digital door lock is fine already.

"Hello, Ma'am?" I heard Kara on the other line.

I am at the front door of my room.

"Kara, I'll be late. Can you move my meeting with Mr. Schweizer?"

"SUCCESSFUL"

My eyes widened as my passcode suddenly worked. Surprising, because last night, I'm sure this is the same passcode that I entered. Then now it suddenly worked?

"Ah, regarding the meeting Ma'am, Mr. Schweizer called and told me that he would be also late for the meeting because of an emergency." I sighed in relief.

"Good. I'll be there in an hour. Just get the conference room ready. Okay? "

"Noted, Ma'am."

"Thank you." I dropped the call and got ready.

I wore a black lace corset with a black Gucci blazer. I let my brunette locks fall loose down on my shoulder and completed my look with a pair of shades and I'm good to go.

When I got out of my room, I saw Eric and Dominic watching tv. Dominic's eyes fluttered when he saw me.

I just ignored him.

"Mama, are you going now?" My son asked me. I nodded and leaned a little to kiss him on the cheek.

"Yes. Be a good boy okay?" He nodded.

"Aren't you going to eat first?" Dominic asked me.

I shook my head.

"I'll just eat outside. I have to go-"

He held my arm. Suddenly, what he did to me last night came back to my memory.

"W-what?"

"Ihahatid na kita." I removed his grip on my arm.

"I can manage. Walang kasama si Eric dito sa bahay. At tsaka nagmamadali na din ako."

"Who said we would leave our son here at the house alone? Of course, we will take him along." I was speechless. Wala namang mali sa sinabi niya pero kasi...

"Hey, buddy. We'll go with your mom." I didn't protest anymore.

Wala pa akong lakas para makipagtalo sa kanya.

"Really? Let's go!" My son grabbed the remote and turned off the tv and quickly dropped himself off the couch.

I looked at the two with their hands intertwined and smiled at me. And now I noticed that the two are dressed up already.

So they planned this, huh?

I just shook my head and smiled.

"Alright. Let's go."

Dominic was the one who initiated to drive my car. Para daw mas mabilis kaming makarating. Hindi na ako umangal pa dahil sa aming dalawa, siya ang di hamak na mas mabilis magmaneho.

"Are you sure you won't eat first?" He asked me. I'm sitting next to him and Eric is in the backseat. I am busy with my phone because I am reviewing the presentation that Kara made last night.

"I'll eat after the meeting."

"No." I turned to look at him.

"I don't have time to eat since my business meeting is coming up."

"Who are you meeting with? I'll talk to her so you can eat first before you start. "

"Are you serious?"

"Yes. I won't let my wife go to that meeting with an empty stomach." He said without looking at me.

"Dominic—"

"No buts. We'll eat."

"I'm late!" I couldn't help to raise my voice.

"I don't care. Besides, we haven't eaten yet. "

Nanlaki ang mata ko. Ano? Anong hindi pa sila nakain?

"What? Why you both haven't eaten yet? Don't tell me even Eric didn't eat breakfast? Dominic! I don't let my son go hungry— "

"Relax. He ate his breakfast."

"Then why you're telling me na hindi pa KAYO kumakain, huh?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. Pero ako pa yung hindi kumakain." Napataas ang kilay ko.

"And so? Hindi ko na kasalanan yon kung hindi ka pa nakakakain." I returned my focus to what I was doing.

"It's your fault, baby." I wrinkled my forehead.

"What are you saying?"

"You want to know?" Inirapan ko siya and I just continued what I was doing with my phone earlier.

"Bahala ka."

He stopped the car because the red light is on. He leaned over and I felt him barely touching me.

What will he do?

"I didn't have my breakfast because I want your lips as my breakfast."
