Dave led us to a room with vending machines and a dressing room and bathroom. There was a rack with a bunch of flying suits. Jack grabbed one and went to go change.
"You're probably an extra small in women's. You might even be a large in kids." Dave held different suits up to my body to try and match a size.
"Try both." He handed me the suits and I went into the dressing room after Jack came out. The extra small ended up fitting me better. I felt dorky wearing this thing. I came out of the dressing room.
"You look hot." Jack said sarcastically.
"I should say the same about you." I smiled at him. I hung up the suit that didn't fit me on the rack.
"Ready?" Dave asked.
"Ready." I beamed.
After about 10 minutes in the instruction room with Dave, me and Jack put our head gear on and went into the iFly chamber.
"So I'm going to be your instructor and Dave is going to work the machine." Jack stood across from me in the tube.
"I'm scared." I probably looked like a little kid.
Dave mouthed the words you ready? outside of the tube and gave a thumbs up. I nodded and grabbed Jacks hands. The fan turned on and I closed my eyes. I felt my feet lift off the ground. Jack squeezed my hands so I would open my eyes. I looked down and saw the fan below us. I started laughing and saw Jack watching me and smiling. We started spinning and I grew more and more enthusiastic. After about 4 minutes, we took a small break.
We exited the chamber and I took my head gear off.
"You did amazing. Was it fun?" Jack moved a piece of hair out of my face.
"I'm not going to lie, I had more fun than I've had in a long time." I smiled and looked at him.
"That was great! How was it?" Dave came walking over to me and Jack.
"I had so much fun!" I said, like I was 9 years old.
"Great. You did great. Hey, want to see me and jack do a few tricks?"
"Oh, yeah, that would be awesome!"
Dave went over explained to me how to control the fan and when to turn it on and off. I sat down in the chair and waited for them to signal me to turn it on. When I got the thumbs up, I turned it on. I watched them fly in the air, do backflips, and be silly for about 4 minutes until I turned the fan off.
"You guys are great. I wish I was that good."
"It just takes practice, I'm sure I'll be seeing you again. We can work on something." Dave said, taking his goggles off.
"We can come back anytime." Jack said. "Want to do another round?"
"Yes!" Me and Jack got back into the chamber and flew for another 7 minutes. After that, we went into the room to take our suits off. Dave was at his desk.
I went into the dressing room and started taking off the suit. The zipper on my back wouldn't come down. I think it was stuck to the back of my bra. Shit. I tried getting it off for a good 2 minutes. My last resort was to ask Jack for help.
"Hey, um Jack?"
"Yeah?"
"Will you come help me with this zipper? It's stuck." I opened the door.
"Do I need to cover my eyes?" He said with his eyes closed, touching the door.
"No, no. My suits still on." I chuckled. He opened his eyes and tried unzipping it. He was having a pretty hard time.
"What the hell is wrong with this?" he said in a struggled voice.
"Yeah um I think its stuck to my bra."
"Maybe you shouldn't wear a bra.." He smiled.
"Jack!" I defended.
"I'm kidding!" He struggled some more, finally the stupid thing came unentwined. The whole thing zipped all the way down. My bra came undone, exposing my back.
I whipped around.
"Thank you." I forced a smile and quickly shut the door. Awkward.
When I came out, Jack was looking in the vending machine.
"Your turn." I said, hanging up my suit on the rack.
I heard a growl.
"Uh, what was that?" I looked around.
"I'm starving." Jack held his stomach.
I laughed. "Me too."
"Let's eat after this?" He recommended.
"Well we were going to eat but someone decided we should skydive instead."
He laughed and went into the dressing room. When he came out, we both went into the lobby and up to Dave's desk.
"All set?" He questioned.
"Thanks for everything. It was super fun." I said.
"Anytime! Really!" Dave commented.
Jack started pulling money out from his wallet when Dave said,
"Bro it's on the house. No worries"
"Really? Wow, thanks." Jack said as he put his wallet back into his pocket.
"Just make sure you bring her back here again." He winked at me. I smiled.
"Will do."
"Thanks for coming you two. Have a great day."
"Thanks Dave, see you soon!" I said.
"Alright, see ya."
"See ya." Jack assured.
