Chapter 11 - You Don't Have To

"I.. I don't know.. " I looked at the ground

"Oh you don't have to, I can put it away if you want." He held it.

Something in my head was saying no and something else was saying yes. I mean, it's in the moment.. why not? But..

"Okay, yeah I'll do it." I fumbled my thumbs.

"Have you smoked anything?" He smiled at me.

"No..."

"Listen Paige, I don't want to pressure you to do something so if you don't want to, we don't have to. It's pretty fun, but I don't want to make you uncomfortable."

He's so sweet. But now I want to. I grinned.

"Let's do it."

He put some stuff in it and got it ready. He grabbed the mouthpiece and inhaled. I think he was holding his breath. He blew out.

"If you hold the smoke in, it gives you a buzz." He handed me the mouthpiece. I got a little nervous. I inhaled a large amount of smoke and held it in and I blew out when I couldn't hold my breath for any longer. I tasted apples or something fruity.

"Yeah, just like that." He smiled. I felt lightheaded and relaxed. I pulled Jack in to kiss him.

"You're bad." He whispered in between a kiss. Yeah, 'bad' for a little white girl with no experience in anything.

"Only for you." I whispered and looked into his eyes. He bit his lip.

I felt my phone vibrate. it was a text from Ava.

A: U done??? Get down here.

"Ava wants us to go downstairs.."

"Oh yeah I forgot about that." He put the hookah under his bed and stood up. I stood up and started walking out of his room when... smack. He just smacked by butt. You're kidding.

"Jack!" I started laughing. He hugged me from behind and kissed my neck. I turned around.

"I'll be 'bad' when people aren't downstairs waiting for us." I put my hands on my hips and tried not to smile. He smirked.

He playfully pushed me out of the room and turned the light off. We walked downstairs.

Nobody was there.

"Uh? Where'd everyone go?" I said.

Ava came in through the back door.

"Hey where is everyone?" I asked. Jack had his hand on my shoulder.

"Oh hey, you're done. They're out back. Nash made a fire." She smiled and grabbed her drink.

"I kissed Nash." She whispered in my ear. I don't think Jack heard.

I started laughing and I covered my mouth. We were both internally screaming. Jack, Ava and I walked out to the back where the boys were sitting around a fire. There were about 3 girls that I've never seen sitting with them.

When they spotted us, all the boys did a long and dragged out "Heeeyyy guuuyyys" Jack looked at me and smiled and I blushed.

"Jack!" A blonde girl ran up to jack and hugged him a little too friendly.

"Missed you!" She started kissing him.

I became furious and dragged Ava over to the fire. We sat down my Cameron and Nash. All the boys were talking and the other two girls were just hanging out by Carter and Sam and Hayes.
