My dad looked at me. It was a look that said: "Move out of the way because I'm going to answer the door for you." I closed my eyes and stood in the living room when he opened the door.
"Hi Mr. Holland. are Paige and Ava available?"
"They are." My dad stood there.
"Can we steal them?" Nash asked.
"Come inside." My dad told them. Me and Ava walked into the kitchen.
"Hi." We both said at the same time.
Jack and Nash smiled. "Hi" They said in sync. We all started laughing.
"So Ava's been lying about being at your house." My dad said.
Oh my god. Way to make things so awkward that I almost choke on my own saliva, dad. I blushed.
"Oh, uh," Jack scratched his head.
"What have you guys done?" My dad questioned.
"We've been worrying about Cameron and," Jack looked at me.
"And? Have you touched her?" My dad looked so serious.
Jack looked over at me really confused. I bit my lip so I wouldn't laugh. I was blushing so hard. Nash was looking at Ava and they were clearly holding laughs in. My family was watching the situation from the table like it was some sort of drama movie.
"Sir, your daughter is beautiful and I wouldn't do anything to hurt her. She's a great friend to me. I won't let anything happen to her." He avoided the question. Smooth.
"Who are you?" He ignored Jack and looked at Nash.
"Nash Grier. Nice to meet you." He held out his hand for a handshake. My dad completely rejected it and turned his attention back to Jack. Nash slowly put his hand down and tucked his lips in his mouth and tried not to smile. Me and Ava were silently laughing at this point.
"So, Jack, why do you have my daughter and her friend at your house with 8 other boys?"
"Dad, they're all famous. They came to visit Jack."
"They're all just great people, I promise." Jack said.
"They're famous?" My dad looked at me. I nodded.
"How famous are you?" My dad looked at Jack. He looked so confused.
"Well, I make money from posting things, and I have millions of fans. I just reached 1 million on twitter and I have about 3 million on Vine and more. I also sing with my friend Jack." Jack said.
My dad looked impressed. He whispered something in Jack's ear. Jack shook his head and said "never." What?
My dad patted Jack on the back.
"I like this boy." He smiled. We all started laughing.
"You can take her on one condition."
"Okay what is it?" Jack put his hands in his pocket.
"Will you advertise my company and my wife's blog? Just once? We do landscaping. Just post something about us being a great company or something." He looked at Jack.
"Of course! When do you want it done?" Jack pulled out his phone.
"Anytime." My dad said.
"Okay, I'll need the name of the company, name of blog, and both of your names. I know yours is John." Jack started typing in his notes.
"The name is No Yard Is Too Hard, and that's the name of the blog too. My wife is Amy Holland and I am obviously John Holland as you know." My dad said.
"Perfect! Done. I'll let Paige know when I post about it." He smiled and shook my dad's hand.
"Thanks Jack." He smiled.
We all started clapping. Jack and my dad started laughing.
