Chapter 34 - Official

    "Well, congratulations. Just no funny business." He smiled and gave me a hug.

    I laughed.

   "I have to call Ava ASAP." I grinned and held my hand up to dial her number, walking into the living room. Both my parents went out into the back to finish setting the wood chips.

    "Haaaaaaayy gurl." She said.

   "I'M JACKS GIRLFRIEND SO YEAH THAT JUST HAPPENED" I yelled into the phone.

    I heard her choke on something.

    She made a loud screeching noise and hung up. Uhhh.. okay. I decided to let Twitter know the news too.

    "@paigemholland: I'm Gilinsky's girl. Literally. pictwitter.com/n8SKO1...." I tweeted a picture of the cute teddy bear and the gorgeous flowers.

   I turned on the TV and watched the news for about 3 minutes, then I got bored.

    Someone rang the doorbell. I ran to the front door and opened it.

    Ava stood there in silence. I looked at her, confused.

   "Uhhhh are you oka-"

   She shook my shoulders and screamed, jumping up and down.

   "YOU'RE DATING JACK GILINSKY WHAT IS HAPPENING!!!!!!!" She slowly retained her composure.

   I can't lie, I totally jumped up and down with her and screamed just as loud.

    She walked past me into the kitchen and looked at the gifts.

   "This. Is. So. Cute." She looked at me.

   "Did you tell your parents?" She questioned.

   "Yeah! My mom thought it was sweet and, get this, my dad said congratulations."

   "He must really like Jack." She raised her eyebrows.

   "I wish Nash lived out here. He's probably going to hangout with every girl in the world in L.A." She said.

   "Doubt it. Seriously doubt it." I shook my head. She shrugged her shoulders.

   "Oh and when you two are dating let's go on a double date to In n Out." I smirked.

   "He probably won't even ask me to be his girlfriend." She laughed.

   "Time does wonders." I patted her back and grabbed a Gatorade from the fridge.

   "So when are you going to tell everyone?"

   "Already did. I tweeted the picture of these."

   I went into Twitter to check how many notifications I had. Ava leaned over my shoulder to see too.

    "Who even gets that many favorites that fast?" Ava rolled her eyes.

   9k favorites.

   "Well then." I grinned. I scrolled through my timeline.

    "@cameronsgraayw: I feel bad for all the gilinsky girls like lmao. I'm just glad she's not trying to get with any of the other boys."

    "@jaaacklinsky: screw it I'm becoming a jacob girl I hate this fandom"

   "@keayalaydt600: all she's doing is bragging to us. way to go, you got what you wanted. all of us are depressed."

   I rolled my eyes and decided to tweet.

   "@paigemholland: I was a fan of jack way before I met him, and I still am. I'm just living my dream... I'm one of you guys. please understand. xo"

   "People are so rude gaaaah I just want to strangle some of them." Ava scrolled through her timeline.

    My phone was vibrating with a call from Cameron. Uh oh.

   "UH CAMERONS CALLING WHAT DO I DO" I panicked.

   "PRETEND YOU'RE INDONESIAN" She suggested. wtf.

   I answered. "Hey!" I said nicely.

   "Hey Paige! What's up?"

   "Just hanging out with Ava. What about you?"

   "Scrolling through the madness on my timeline. So you're with Jack?"

   "Yeah, I am."

   "Didn't you, well... never mind. Congratulations, really." I could hear the disappointment.

   "Didn't I what..?" I questioned.

   "Nothin."

  "Cam please tell me."

   "I, uh, I was just gonna ask if you didn't feel what I felt when we kissed. I thought we had a little something. It's just nothing, really. It's all chill." He sighed.

   "Cam... I-"

   "Just the way that you call me Cam, it drives me crazy." He said.

   "Listen. I love you so much, as in my best friend. I don't want a relationship with you and have to end a friendship if anything happens. I always want to keep you by my side. I don't know how else to say it." I rubbed the back of my neck and looked over at Ava, who was biting her nails and hanging on to every word.
