I stood in silence, trying to figure out how to respond.
She stood up. "But guess what?" She said with a grin.
I smiled and raised my eyebrow. "What?"
"Someone wants me to come stay in L.A. with them for a while."
"Nash." Jack smiled.
I refrained from jumping up and down so I wouldn't look like an idiot in front of Jack, and I could tell that Ava was too.
"That's great!" I hugged her. "When??"
"Next week. I don't know how long yet."
"His place is so fun, you'll have a great time." Jack said.
"I'm excited! And I'm sure you're excited about the tour.. are you going to go to the meet and greets?" She asked.
I looked at Jack. He shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah I don't really know." I smiled.
"You're so lucky." She lightly punched my shoulder.
"You too?" I returned the punch. We both laughed.
"Soo you gonna pack?" She asked.
"Yeah!"
We all walked inside. My parents, who were cooking, greeted us.
"Hey guys." They said together, laughing at their synchronization.
"Hey." I said.
"Hi!" Jack waved.
"Whaddup." Ava said.
"Is this a new style?" My mom pointed at my outfit.
"Actually Jack here pushed me in his dogs' pool."
"Jack!" My mom said smiling.
"She got me back! Don't worry." He laughed.
"You two are something." She said. Jack and I smirked at each other.
"Are you going to get in the shower and pack then?" My dad asked.
"Oh, I already showered at Jack's." I said with a sudden urge to laugh.
"Oh." He looked at us for 0.5 seconds too long.
A grin started forming on my face. Once Jack saw it, he got this big dumb smile on his face that I couldn't help but laugh at.
"What?" Ava looked at me.
Me and Jack sat there laughing. I was blushing at this point, because they were all looking at us like we were insane.
"Just that I pushed him in the pool." I laughed harder because this definitely wasn't what we were giggling like little kids at.
"I'm gonna go downstairs now." I covered my mouth and walked down the stairs. Ava and Jack followed.
When we got into my room, Ava popped the question.
"What is so funny?" She smiled in suspicion.
"Nothin." Jack said, still recovering from laughing.
I had a bad case of laughter at this point.
"Paige!" She said demandingly.
"We may or may not have got into the shower together." I blurted. Jack's expression showed me that he didn't care that I told her.
She looked at both of us with her jaw dropped.
"Oh my god." She laughed.
"So what went on, huh?" She raised her eyebrows and bumped my shoulder.
"Classified." Jack said with a wink.
"Psh." Ava playfully rolled her eyes.
"Okay time to pack!!" I said, grabbing the 2 big red suitcases from my closet.
"Jack! Can you come here a minute?" My mom called from upstairs.
He looked at me.
"Uhh be right back?" He walked out.
"So what happened in the shower?" Ava eagerly whispered.
"Didn't you hear Jack? Classified." I said smiling.
"Seriously Paige. Did you see his-"
"Yeah."
"Is it bi-"
"Yeah."
We both laughed.
"Did you guys, ya'know, do something?" She interrogated.
"Avvvvaaa." I whined.
"Come on Paige!"
"Okay. We didn't do anything much. We're saving the big thing for later.." I blushed.
"Awww my baby Paige is growing up." She patted me on the back. We both laughed.
I started grabbing all my clothes and packing them into the suitcases. Ava helped me. By the time we were finished, Jack was still upstairs.
"He's been up there for a while.." Ava said.
"I know right? Maybe I should go see what they're doing." I said. I walked upstairs and spotted my mom and dad talking to Jack in the front room. They turned their eyes to me once I walked in.
"Hey, what's up..?" I asked.
"We're just going over a couple things with Jack. Kind of mandatory if you want to go away with him and all these boys for a month." My dad's smile said: 'please leave now.'
"Uhhh ookaay.." I slowly backed out of the room and went back downstairs.
"What were they doing?" Ava asked, sniffing my strawberry lotion.
"They were talking to Jack about taking me away for a month.. I don't know- it seemed like my dad didn't want me to hear or something." I said.
"He's probably just telling Jack to take care of you." Ava stated.
I went into my bathroom and packed my essentials into the little space I had in my suitcase. Soo I think I finally have everything.
"What the hell am I gonna do without seeing you for so long?" She questioned.
"I'm sure you and Nash will be at one of the tour dates, don't worry." I smiled.
She hugged me.
"I'm gonna miss you." I said.
"I'm gonna miss you too."
