"I have to go talk to her!" I said, standing up.
"Woah, I don't think that's a good idea." Jack said.
"Why? My best friend died and she knew it was going to happen! I want to know what else she knows." Everytime I thought about Ava, I got watery eyes and I hated it.
"Just let it go for a little bit.. When you get back to Nebraska then you can talk to her, maybe?" He suggested.
"Yeah." I agreed. I was deep in thought.
"When you guys were rehearsing, I went out to the back and got a call from Ava..." I said.
"Wait, hold up, what?" He stood up.
"I answered it and all I heard was someone breathing.. I- I had hope for some reason that it'd be her.. but I don't think- I don't know." I sighed.
"Have you told anyone?" He asked.
"Kenny was with me, I told him. That's it."
"Why were you with Kenny?" He looked jealous and it made me get butterflies.
I laughed. "He just came back there and asked me if I was okay."
Jack's POV:
She folded her arms, smiling at me as if she were happy that I was asking the question. She's mine.
"I was just wondering." I shrugged. She smiled, knowing that there was a sense of jealousy.
"Stop." I demanded.
"What?" She laughed.
Seeing her laugh was the only thing I needed. Her eyes were red from crying so much, and she wasn't wearing makeup... But she was still the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I grinned and pulled her in for a hug.
She hesitated to hug me back, but she did.
"What's this for?" She asked with her face on my chest.
"I love seeing you smile." I said.
She let go of me and looked in my eyes. The light from the door was hitting her eyes at the perfect angle and they were sparkling. She tucked her lips inside of her mouth and went in for another hug. She squeezed me tight.
"What did I do to deserve someone like you?" She said.
I'm the one that doesn't deserve her.
Paige's POV:
A few hours more of rehearsal, and we had some down time. The whole team decided to go to a late night dinner at iHop.
We talked about a ton of stuff and it ended up being a really fun time. Everyone was excited and happier than usual. I managed to forget about Ava for a while. I felt guilty for it, but I can't keep dwelling.
The Digitour team was really chill and nice; they seemed more than glad to have all of us. The boys and I bonded really well, it was like we've been friends for years.
After the dinner, we came back to the venue and made sure everything was in place for tomorrow. At about 11pm, the Digitour team decided that they were gonna get ready to sleep.
Me and all the boys went outside for some adventures.
