"I'm being serious, if you tell me that you're kidding I'm going to be fucking pissed."
I covered my face and cried some more.
"I'm sorry." I whispered.
I heard rumbling and then the phone hung up. I put it down and covered my face. I was shaking.
I heard the RV door open. I hid, expecting all the boys to walk in, but it was just Jack J.
"Paige?" He said.
I walked out from behind the bunks, embarrassed that I was crying. Again.
"Come here." He held out his arms for a hug. I wrapped my arms around him as tight as I could. Why was Jack J always the one to be there for me?
"What happened?"
"I told Nash about Ava. He hung up."
He sighed. "It's not going to be easy for anyone."
"And I think Jack is talking to other girls."
He released me from the hug.
"Wait, what? Jack wouldn't do that." He shook his head.
"Okay I know it was wrong, but he got a text and I opened it. It was from some girl named Lexi and it said 'thanks for the pic, let's hangout when you come down here cutie' or something like that. And it had a winky face. I just deleted it because I didn't want him to know that I read it."
Jack looked confused. "You know how much he likes you right? There's- yeah there's no way he would do that. Do you want me to ask him?"
"Hell no!" I don't want to come off as the creepy stalker girlfriend. I wasn't even going to tell anybody!
"Okay, okay. I understand. Sorry."
"It's fine.." I wiped my eyes.
"Do you want to come outside with us? When you're ready?"
"Yeah, I mean I've gotten pretty good at hiding my emotions."
"I'm always here for you."
"Thank you." I smiled and hugged him again. I kissed him on the cheek and he smiled. I walked into the bathroom to cool myself off and then I joined the guys outside.
"Hey Paige!" Kenny yelled. He was dribbling a basketball.
"Hey!" I smiled. I had my sunglasses on.
"Babe!" Jack came and hugged me, spinning me around in a circle. I didn't smile.
"You doing okay?"
I wanted so badly to ignore him or punch him in his perfect face.
"Yeah." I smiled.
"Did you get my flowers?"
"Yeah. They were sweet." I bluntly replied.
He gave me a confused look and continued messing around. Jack J was looking at me.
"We gonna rehearse?" One of the girls from the Digitour team asked.
"10 more minutes." Cody said.
I sat down and watched as they had fun. I wanted to go home. I felt like I didn't belong here. I felt like I was the only one grieving over her death. I didn't even want to eat.
"Hey Paige, you ate right?" Jack said.
"Yeah." I lied.
I opened my phone to view a text from my mom.
mom: I wish you'd call me. I know this is hard but you can talk to me. If you need to come home, you can.
me: I'm okay mom. I'll figure something out.
I opened twitter for the first time in days and checked my mentions.
The only things I saw were;
"Tell jack I love him!" "Please notice me!" "Where are you??" "Where's Ava?" "Follow me!"
Should I tell them about Ava?
