About 40 minutes later, we both got out together. He grabbed his towel and wrapped it around his waist.
"I'll get you one." He smiled and looked at me before walking into the hall. We've both had these permanently stupid smiles on our faces for so long, and my cheeks hurt. But I can't stop.
He threw me a pink towel from in the hall. I caught it and dried myself off. I wrapped it around myself and joined Jack in his room. He stood there, leaned against the wall on his phone. I looked at the white towel loosely wrapped around his hips. Why is he so perfect?
He glanced over at me staring at him. "Heeeeyyyy." He raised his eyebrows.
"Heeeeeyy." I laughed. He put his phone down and walked over to me. He held the sides of my face with his hands and kissed me.
The feeling that he gave me wasn't normal. It wasn't a little giddy feeling, it was so The fact that he's been in my life for such a short amount of time and has this big of an impact on me is crazy.
Jack's POV:
Her blue eyes started into mine, and I could just imagine all of the things that are running through her mind. She's all mine. And I get to spend this tour with her. I wish I could hold her all day.
Paige's POV:
"Do you really love me?" He asked.
"I wouldn't say it if I didn't."
"I just feel like you felt obligated to say it back so it wouldn't be awkward or- I felt like I said it too early- I kind of just thought it and I didn't mean to say it- but I'm glad I did because I do- I do love you," He said.
I smiled at the way he fumbled his words. It was almost like he was nervous, and I think he was. But nervous for me? I'm just me.
Jack's POV:
I blurted out everything on my mind. The way she looked up at me made me a little nervous. I wish I could just read her mind.
She laughed. Great.
"Are you nervous?" She asked.
"I just want to move at your pace. I don't want to rush things, which is hard for me because you're so cute and small and gorgeous and perfect and I feel like I need to live up to all these expectations for you and... Wow I don't even know. I've never felt like this before." I covered my face with my hand for a moment.
Paige's POV:
My heart was in my stomach. His words stuck in my mind. He was nervous around me?
"I didn't know you could be so soft." I smiled and playfully hit him in the shoulder. He laughed.
"1. You give me butterflies every time you talk to me, 2. You have no expectations to 'live up to', because I already think you're beyond perfect and I don't want you to change. I really actually think I love you more than you love me. And 3, If anything, I should be the one living up to any expectations."
Jack's POV:
I smiled in relief. She wrapped her arms around my back and squeezed me. I squeezed her back.
"Sooo, what am I gonna wear?" She said, still wrapped in my arms.
I walked over to my closet and picked something I'd think she'd look cute in.
Paige's POV:
He handed me a black long sleeve shirt and grey basketball shorts. He opened a pack of Adidas boxers and grabbed a pair out.
I dropped my towel, not caring that he was watching. I put everything on, having to adjust the shorts by rolling them up 2 times. I laughed at my reflection in the mirror. He threw me a pair of black Nike socks. I put them on. Great, now I look like a guy.
"Seeing you in my clothes is so cute. Everything's so baggy on you." He smiled at me.
Suddenly, my phone vibrated. I checked my notifications and bam. 19 missed calls from Ava. 5-10 is normal but above 15 means some things wrong. I dialed her number.
"Uhhh Paige?" She answered.
"Uhhh Ava?" I replied.
"Yeah, hi. Just hanging with your parents at your house. Were you planning on saying bye to me before you left on tour until September..?"
Shiiiiiiit.
"Ava! I'm soooo sorry! I was going to call you but so many things have been going on! I'm on the way right now, okay?"
"Okay."
I hung up.
"What's up?" Jack said.
"I never even called Ava about the tour and now she's sitting at my house. I need to pack my stuff and say bye to her before we leave."
"Oh, okay. Um I'll put your wet clothes in a plastic bag, you can go get in the car if you want."
"Okay." I grabbed my phone and went into the Jeep. He hopped in a few minutes after me and put the plastic bag on his lap. It smelt like warm grass and dirt.
We talked about everything the whole way to my house.
When we arrived, Ava was sitting on the front step eating an apple.
I grabbed the bag from Jack. "Thanks." I said.
We both walked over to Ava.
"Nice outfit." She said.
"He pushed me into a dog pool." I grinned.
"Don't worry, she got me back." Jack said.
"What am I suppose to do when you're on tour? I'm gonna sit here and rot the whole summer." She took a bite of her apple.
