"Jack?" I called. I walked over to the hallway and looked down. He wasn't there.
"Jack?" I yelled. Nash, Cameron, and Jack J came over. Nash started walking down the hall towards the lit room.
I hesitantly followed. Nash creaked the door open and walked inside.
There was Christmas lights hanging around the perimeter of the room. A bed was in the middle and candles lined the top of the dresser. They were lit. Jack wasn't in here.
"I want to leave!" I begged. I felt sick.
"Are we gonna just leave Jack?!" Nash said.
"Bro our planes leave in like 4 hours we do have to leave." Jack J said.
"Oh my god. Okay then let's go! Let's just leave Jack." Nash said.
"This is stupid. It's like something from a cheesy teenage scary movie." Cameron looked around.
Suddenly, a bang came from the kitchen. I gasped and covered my mouth.
Nash walked out of the room, down the hallway, and into the kitchen. We all followed. My heart was beating out of my chest.
Jack was in the kitchen.
"Uh, Jack?" Nash slowly walked towards him. He was sitting at the table, staring at the crystal ball. We couldn't see his face. He didn't react.
"Yo, Jack- we have to leave." Jack J walked over to him. He still wasn't responding. I gulped and suddenly wanted to teleport into my room or something.
Jack slowly turned around and started whispering.
"What the fuck?.." Jack J backed up. I covered my mouth and backed up.
Jack suddenly screamed, causing all of us to jump. He stood up and started laughing.
"Fuck you." Nash started laughing.
"I thought you were possessed." I said in relief.
"Nah but we really do need to leave. She's obviously not here and if we get caught we're going to get in a lot of trouble."
We all agreed.
Nash started walking out of the house and we followed. By now it was pretty dark. I was the last one out, so I shut the door. We all walked at a faster than normal pace into the Jeep.
That was a waste of time.
When we arrived at my house several minutes later, it was about time for the guys to leave to go to the airport.
We pulled into my driveway. I saw my grandparents car. I had barely talked to them today.
"Paige, we have to leave.. to the airport.. um.." Jack hesitated. He was being careful with his words.
I wanted to go. But there was something telling me not to.
"Can you come outside with me for a second? To talk?" I asked him.
"Yeah." He got out and I got out from the back.
"Come over here." I led him over to the side of the house where the Jeep was out of sight.
"I want to go but I don't know if I should." I looked at the ground.
"I understand if you don't. I really do. I fucked up so bad and I feel like a piece of shit. I don't even deserve you." He rubbed the back of his neck. It made me feel sad seeing him put himself down.
"It's.. It's okay." I said.
"No. It's not okay. And it's never going to happen again." He put his hands in his pockets.
I stared at him. I'll never get over how gorgeous he is. I smiled.
"I think I want to go."
A smile formed on his face. "Really?"
"I can't go that long without you.. And I'm so sorry I missed the first shows.. I regret it.."
"No, it's my fault. I drove you away." He said.
"But wait- you're really coming?!"
I laughed at the excitement on his face.
"Yeah!... But it depends on what my parents say."
He wrapped me in his arms and swung me around. I giggled.
He released me and looked me in the eyes. He made me feel intimidated and nervous at the same time. Surprisingly, he picked me up. I smiled and wrapped my arms and legs around him.
He leaned in and kissed me- more rough than usual. He reached his hand up the back of my hoodie. They were warmer than my skin. I put my hand on the back of his neck. He started smiling mid-kiss. I pulled away.
"What?" I grinned at him.
"Nothin, I was just thinking of something." I could tell he was trying not to smile.
He let me down. "Tell me!" I begged.
"It's sorta something we never talked about." He looked at me.
"Well, say it." I bit my bottom lip.
"Are you, a virgin?" He smirked.
I blushed. "..Well, I mean.. Why? Are you?"
That was a dumb question. Of course he wasn't.
I laughed out of embarrassment. "That was a stupid question." I covered my face.
"You are, aren't you?" He got closer to my face and smiled.
"...I am." I tucked my lips inside my mouth.
He licked his lips. The smirk on his face seemed like it was never going to go away.
"Can I be your first?" He asked, biting his lip.
I felt like a little kid. The butterflies in my stomach were racing around.
He leaned to my ear. "And your last?" He whispered.
