"I... I.." Matt ran both hands through his hair.
I started crying. All of the boys were in complete shock.
Cam smiled at me. "Paige don't cry!" He said.
I stopped crying and shot him a look. It was silent.
"YOU LITTLE SHI- SHOOT!" I yelled, more loudly than I had imagined in my head. I refrained from swearing for the sake of Cameron's mom. I couldn't decide whether to smile or be mad. All the boys gave me a shocked look, then gave the same one to Cameron.
"That's so messed up." Nash said, slightly grinning.
It was completely quiet.
Suddenly, we couldn't hold it in. Everyone burst out in laughter and hugged Cam. The doctor was laughing too, I think he was in on it. Who could be mad at him? Lightening the mood was definitely the right thing to do.
"Sorry for the joke, I almost thought all of you were going to hate me for a second. Especially Paige." He said. He gave me a wink.
"You made my heart drop to my feet." I said.
"I'm sorry." He laughed.
"So, um, how'd this happen?" Cameron asked.
The room's happy vibe evaporated and was replaced with a much more serious feeling.
"We don't know... We were hoping you did." Jack said.
"The last thing I remember is eating chips in the kitchen. Everyone was asleep, I think. I don't remember anything else." He felt the back of his head.
"I, uh, we all think that someone attacked you.." Jack said.
"What?" He looked confused.
"We found the window open and the lock broken and the screen door popped out in the guest room upstairs... Someone broke in the night that you got hit, or whatever that is on your head." I said.
He looked terrified. "I don't remember that..."
"We found you laying on the floor in the morning, we all thought you were just passed out until you slept for way longer than usual and we got kinda worried, I tried to wake you up and you wouldn't. We called 911 and they came and picked you up." Hayes said.
"The police tried to find evidence in the house, but nothing came up." Jack said.
"Oh my god..." Cameron looked at the ground.
"We're worried about that, but we were so much more concerned about you waking up. You should see Twitter man, you're on the news, always #1 trending, and people are going insane." Nash said.
"You told my fans?" He looked at us.
"We had to tell them something. We did a little video explaining things, just so nobody would flip out." Jack J said.
"That's fine. Can I see my phone?" His mom handed him his phone. He looked at Twitter for a few minutes then tweeted.
"@CameronDallas: I woke up to see all of the love and support that surrounds me. Blessed with such amazing friends, family, and fans. Love you guys. I'm fine"
Thousands and thousands of retweets in just a couple of seconds.
"So many girls are down, I feel really bad." He continued looking at his phone.
"Cameron, we can release you whenever you feel comfortable. I've prescribed some medication to reduce the pain in your head. We need to make a few follow up appointments." Dr. Sullivan stated. Cam's mom got up and talked with the doctor.
"Our flights are all suppose to leave today." Carter said.
"I already missed mine." Nash said.
"Me too." Said Shawn.
While the boys worked out the situation for flights, me and Ava sat down in the two chairs across the room.
"This is so insane." Ava said.
"I know, I'm so glad he's awake." I said.
"Who ever thought that we'd be in this situation?" Ava looked at the boys.
"Definitely not me."
"Me either."
"Hey guys I want to take a picture of all of us while I'm still in the hospital bed. Mom can you take a picture?" Cam said. We all gathered around his bed and posed for the picture. He tweeted it.
"@CameronDallas: These people are my family. It means so much to me that they're here to support me. Especially the photographer, my mom. pictwitter.com/aouy5sju..."
