"Uh, yeah. Go ahead." I said nervously.
"Do you think you're going to go back on your with us? Or are you really going to stay?"
I looked at the ground and swallowed. "Um.."
"I can pay for your plane ticket. Please."
"I don't want you to pay for me, I don't like that."
"You're my girlfriend. I can pay. I can't go that long without just not seeing you.."
He referred to me as his girlfriend, so I guess when I said we're done, he didn't take it too seriously.
"I don't know... I feel like the fans aren't gonna like me or I'm gonna get hate or something even worse will happen. I wish I could just see the future or something."
He had a blank expression on his face, but then it looked like he had an idea.
"You can!"
I looked at him like he was crazy.
"Yeah let me just go get a crystal ball." I rolled my eyes.
"That lady that knew that Ava was going to die... Weren't you going to go talk to her? Did you?"
My heart dropped. I had completely forgot about the old woman.
"No." I said firmly. "She might've been the reason for Ava's death, and she's scary as hell. If she knew Ava was going to pass away, she'd warn me or do something so I could've stopped it from happening." I choked on my words.
"She's a fortune teller, not a witch. She might've thought you were going to die. You don't even know.. I mean you might as well go back."
"Why? So she can scream in my face again and scare us away? Hmm maybe someone new will die this time. Great idea."
"If you're not going to go, can I?"
"Jack!"
"What?!"
I sighed and rubbed my eyes. I was too scared to go again.
"If something bad happens, you're the one to blame." I poked his chest.
"Okay.. Well these guys' planes all leave real soon. You should go talk to them before they have to leave." He pointed to the stairs.
I nodded and walked downstairs with Jack.
When I entered the room, they were all talking and eating and they've pretty much made themselves at home, which has never been hard.
I spoke up. "So I just wanted to say thank you like 10 million times to all of you for being here.. A lot of you were busy and blew off your plans for me and it really does mean so so much and you definitely made my day 500x better. I seriously love you guys."
Taylor stood up and gave me a hug. All the guys followed and we were soon intertwined in one big group hug. I laughed.
"Losing her was losing a part of the family." Shawn said.
"We all got each other." Jack J said.
I looked around at all of the guys around the circle that we've formed and immediately a smile crept upon my face.
After hours of talking and hanging out, Uber drivers showed up at my house one by one, taking the guys to the airport. We all said our goodbye's. I think we were a little more personal this time, out of nervousness that we wouldn't see one another again. None of them knew that their last hug to Ava would be their last. Neither did I.
Soon, the only people left at my house were Jack, Cam, Jack J, and Nash. My parents were upstairs, and we were all downstairs talking.
"Can we go to that fortune teller lady?" Jack asked.
I rolled my eyes a little. "Remember that lady I told you about a little while ago that predicted Ava's death? Do you guys want to go see her?" I asked the boys.
"Hell yeah. I wanna see what she's all about." Nash said. They agreed.
I got nervous, but I showed no trouble to get in Jack's car. We all climbed in and set off towards the place we found her at.
It was dark when we arrived. None of her lights were on, and we could see that the door was cracked.
I bit my nails and swallowed hard. "Should we leave?" I said.
"No! Let's go inside." Jack J said.
"This is dope." Nash said, climbing out of the Jeep. I got out and immediately stood next to Jack.
"Baby it's okay." He giggled as I latched onto him. It was dark, but I could see Cameron's eyes roll.
We slowly walked up the steps to the porch.
The stairs creaked. My heart was beating out of my chest. Was she going to remember me?
Jack creaked the door open. The only thing I could hear was the wind blowing.
"Hello?" He said.
We walked inside. No lights were on. Cameron got the flashlight on his phone and shined it. This place looked exactly the same. Same table cloth, same weird ass crystal ball, same everything. The only reason I could see my surroundings was because of a light shining down the hallway.
"What the fuuuck?" Nash whispered, looking around.
"Uhh, hello...?" Jack walked over and looked down the hallway.
Suddenly, the front door slammed shut. I jumped about a foot in the air and it took me a second to catch my breath.
"Oh shit!" Jack J laughed. I looked at him like he was insane.
"I want to leave." I looked at Cameron.
A loud bang came from the hallway.
Where's Jack?
