I shook with fear. I held the phone in my hand, frightened to answer.

   "What?" Kenny said, confused.

I slid the answer button over and held the phone to my ear.

    "H..Hello?" My heart sped up.

    Nobody replied.

    "Ava?" I said.

    Nothing.

"Please.. If it's you.. Tell me." I whispered.

I heard breathing. Breathing that was even heavier than mine.

I looked at the phone to make sure this was her number, and it was.

    I tried one last time.

"Is this some kind of a joke? Ava? This isn't funny." I said.

The person on the other line hung up. Whoever it was didn't want to talk. Was it Ava?

"Um what just happened?" Kenny asked.

"She, she- called me. My friend that just... She called me."

"What the hell? Did she say anything?"

"I couldn't hear anything. Just someone breathing."

"That's.. really scary." He furrowed his eyebrows.

I didn't know what to think. Was she alive? Was she gone? Did someone steal her phone? Why would they call me? ...What's happening?

"Let's just go back inside." I suggested. He followed me through the door and back into the empty crowd as Jack and Jack rehearsed Wild Life.

, I watched as they got their dance moves down. I was watching them, but I couldn't stop thinking about Ava. It was making me aggravated. I didn't know whether to cry for the millionth time today, or be mad. I don't know what to feel. I cupped my head in my hands. When Jack took a break, he came over to me.

"Hey baby are you okay?" He rubbed my back.

I sighed. "I have you, of course I'm okay." I leaned into him and he wrapped his arms around me.

"I'm sorry that this had to happen.." He said.

"I am too." I bit by bottom lip so it wouldn't shake. No. I'm not going to cry again.

"Ava told me in 5th grade before she went on her first rollercoaster that if anything happened to her she'd want me to continue living my life and be happy. It was all a funny joke back then, but its so real now."

"Do you think she still wants that?"

    "...Yeah." I said.

"I'm not going to just forget about everything and act like it never happened, but I want to enjoy myself and have a good time. It's the only way to get these bad vibes detached." I looked at Jack.

"I agree." He smiled and kissed me.

I suddenly sat up with wide eyes.

"...Jack." I said. My eyes started watering.

"What?" He sat up with me. "What's wrong?"

"The- The fortune teller lady.... She was right.." A flashback of her screaming "DEATH" in my face stuck in my memory.

    "Oh my god...."
