A hidden survival

Chapter 3

"Say goodbye." The man said as he grinned widely.

Akane immediately came back to senses. With a good reflex, she did a somersault in the air before landing a few meters away from the man. She felt a sharp pain and realized she was bleeding. The man had managed to cut her, but how? Why would he still hunt in a public area? She looked around and noticed that the people were ignoring them, trying not to get themselves involved in this situation.

Knowing that she can't rely on anyone to save her, she ran away as fast as she could, not looking back at the man. As she runs, her blood continues to ooze out, making her unable to keep a clear vision ahead. She stops and hides when she found an abandoned building. She holds out her wooden wand as she chants, "Vulnus Sanitatem." The wound starts to close and stops bleeding as a ray of green light glow on it. However, it is taking a longer time for her to heal this time compared to a normal wound. The weapon he used seemed to be more effective in harming her.

She bit her lip at the increasingly sharp pain. When the wound was finally closed, she let out a breath. With the dizziness still hitting her, she fell unconscious to the ground.

"Akane!" Mika's voice...
"Akane!" Yu's voice...
"Akane!" Everyone from hyakuya...
"Akane." Teacher...

They are all fading away. "Wait! Don't go! Don't leave me alone..." Akane called out. "Hey little witch!" The voice shocked her up and she found herself still in the isolated shelter she found. She slowly sits up but heard again, "Come out little witch... You can't hide from me..."

Pulling her knees to her body, she curled up and stayed in that position for a while. What should I do? Think Akane, think! She told herself as she sneakily peeked through the glass to the other side where the man was standing. She take a deep breath and 3... 2... 1! She zoomed out of her hiding and away from the man. The man though afar, smiled and mouthed, "Gotcha." Within a few meters, Akane had tripped on a rope trap and fell hard to the ground. The man smirked in triumph as he closed in on Akane.

"Well... You can't run or hide from me, can you?" He mocked. Akane tried to stand up but her legs were not listening to her. Raising a silver sword, he shouted, "Finally!" Akane shut her eyes tight. There was a complete silence.

She opened her eyes and saw a boy who was standing in front of her, had put his sword through the man, "Go to hell." He said.
