A hidden survival

Chapter 36

Suddenly, a light shines into the dark world, focused on her. 

"Akane!" 

"Akane Hyakuya!" 

"Akane! Don't you dare leave us!"

Her name was called several times, each with different voices. She recognized all of them. Hana, Sakura, Yuri, Seiki, and also... Yuu and Mika. She looked at Chihiro whose hand was still reaching out to her. "I'm sorry." Akane muttered and turned to reach for the light.

Opening her eyes, she saw everyone surrounding her bed. The girls' eyes were red with tears flowing. Seiki stared at her with hope. As for Yuu and Mika, they had the same face. Worry.

Am I alive? "Yes!" Hana exclaimed. Her pupils were glowing red. "You're alive." Akane slowly sit up and Hana jumped on her. "Stupid Akane! You promised you'll take care of us. Don't suddenly sleep for so long!" She scolded.

"I'm sorry..." Akane said softly as she hugged Hana tightly.

"How long have I been unconscious?" Akane looked at Mika and Yuu for an answer. Yuu answered, "Five days." Mika held her hand, "Are you feeling okay?" Akane smiled slightly. "I'm okay. How did you manage to find me?" Akane asked as she recalled Mika's voice calling for her. He averts his eyes, "It's... the scent of your blood."

Yuu and Akane eyed each other. They know what Mika was thinking. "Thanks for saving me in time." Akane broke the silence. Yuu frowned, "Do you know who attack you?" Akane shook her head. "He hid his face. Did you see? He got cut before you came." Akane turned to Mika as she asked. The vampire shook his head, "No one was there. And your blood was the only scent I caught." Yuu smacked the wall in frustration, "Who the hell did this?" The children jumped at the loud bang.

Akane looked at them gently and said, "Hana and Seiki will bring you to the first floor. I'll join you later, alright?" The both of them nodded and did as they were told.

Once they exited the room, Akane switched to a serious face as she stated, "The person who attack me is definitely someone from the moon demon company. Their weapons are extremely powerful towards my kind, plus, he knows I'm one." The boys frowned at this information, "I thought it was weird, but this attacker might have been the one who lock Yuri up on the roof." Mika  assumed. Yuu followed, "Isn't Yuri a destructive witch? How was the building still stable when she got that scared?" Akane replied softly, "I  managed to absorb half of her power when she was finally calmed down the other day."

A knock came on the door, "Yuu? Guren is back and he has something to say to the team." Shinoa's voice came from the other side. Yuu reluctantly stood up and walked to the door. "Rest properly. I'm going to try my best to find out who did this to you. " He promised before exiting the room.
