A hidden survival

Chapter 53

When Yu took a step forward, the soldier instinctively took a step back. He raised his sword single-handedly. The soldier suddenly shouts as he swings his sword horizontally to block the hit. He clenched his teeth tight to fight against Yu's force as he pushed his sword upwards. Yu felt a strong resistance and jumped in the air before he lands and slides a distance away. The soldier is stronger than he looks. Yu ran forward with the sword ready to strike again. The soldier smirked and dodged before kicking him in the back. Yu fell on his knees and coughed out a little blood.

"Yu!" Mika and Akane shouted in worry.

Yu picked up his sword and smirked even bigger as he stood up. He wiped off the blood at his lips and closed his eyes. The soldier took the chance to attack but Yu opened his eyes just in time to block him. He clutched onto the sword and twisted it before kicking hard on the soldier's hand. The soldier dropped his weapon and fell on the floor, groaning in pain as he held onto his dislocated left wrist. Yu threw his weapon far away as blood drip on the floor.

Akane rushed forward but a sword was placed right in front of her neck. "Shouldn't you worry about yourself first?" The soldier said. Akane eyes glowed with red as she chanted, "Rose vines grant life." Thorny vines shot up and circulated the soldier, restricting him from moving while, at the same time, growing thorns poking into his skin. The soldier shout in pain, "Stop! Stop!" He demanded. Akane moves away from him and rushed towards Yu, lifting his hands, "ama boq in heal."

Mika was not doing as well. The minute Yu's blood came out, he lost his concentration. The soldier took the chance to stab him. Right before he activated his demon weapon, the throng vines trapped him too. Mika fell as his thirst rises, he covered his eyes and began breathing heavily. His fangs began showing aggression at the soldier in front of him. The soldier shudder in fear. "Don't come any closer!" He warned.

"Mika, don't do it!" Yu's voice managed to reach him. Mika shook his head roughly as he backed away. It's been a while since he had a craving. Akane slashed her own wrist, knowing that a witch's blood is the only one that doesn't turn Mika into a pure vampire. Mika turned his target to her. Within seconds, a sharp pain appeared on her neck. The fangs sunk into her fair neck. She bit her lower lip to tolerate the pain felt at her neck.

Yu frowned as he looked at Akane's bleeding wrist and neck. The fangs slowly pulled out from her neck as Mika eyes glowed with red before returning back to blue. Her body slowly healed by itself until all that had left was blood stains.
