Mika and Yuu waved at the girls before they entered their rooms. Yuu frowned, "I don't think there's anyone annoying enough to harm a little girl." He walked into the room and took a sit on his bed. Mika did the same, "The person who did it must've known she's a witch." Yuu scratched the bad of his head with annoyance, "Why is everyone going against witches?"

Seiki came in afterwards. "Welcome back." Yuu announced. The boy puts his weapon pack down, as he went for his bed. "How long are we going to stay here?" He asked. Mika and Yuu eyed each other, Yuu shrugged, "Do you hate it here?" The boy hesitated a long time before he replied, "I just... don't want Sakura to feel ostracized by the people here." Mika patted the boy's head, "I understand, but for now, this is the safest place for them to be." The young boy stayed silent, he knows Mika was right, if not here, they might already be hunted down by the witch hunters. He clenched his fist, "Is there really no way to protect them?" Yuu interrupted, "You're thinking too much. Right now, just become stronger, and one day, you'll be able to protect those you want to protect."

Mika patted his back and they went to their individual beds.

In the other room

"Stars up above, where I can't reach, I want to see, what you hold for me..." Akane sings softly to Yuri who was lying next to her. Sakura and Hana were already sound asleep. The little toddler was finally able to calm down and sleep in Akane's lullaby. Akane patted her gently in a certain rhythm.

When she was sure Yuri was asleep, she switched off the lamp by the girl's beds, one by one, before tucking herself in next to Yuri.

Where's this place? Akane turned and saw Hana laid unconsciously on the floor. Rushing to her side, she called, "Teacher!"

"It's no use... They have the vampires' and the demons' help. You won't be strong enough. Listen... You have to escape. It's the only way you can save the young girls and teach them to be witch... Go now..."

"I won't leave you here to die, not when you saved me." Her tears betrayed her determined eyes. Hana smiled and said, "I have lived long enough, listen to me and go!" Putting her palm on Akane's heart, she chanted.

"Teacher!" Her eyes widened. Her heart was thumping, loud and fast. Cold sweat formed on her whole body and her breathing became extremely heavy. She sit up and looked around. 4:30am, the clock said.

The woman with golden hair and ember eyes. Akane will never forget.
