Akane stood at the rooftop and stared at the morning sky. "Hey... everything alright?" Akane glanced back and saw Mika walking towards her. She smiled and shifted her gaze back to the sky, "Yah... it's just that it's all happening so suddenly. I need a little time to digest what's happening." Mika stood at her side and patted her head, "You're thinking too much about it." The young witch looked all the way down and saw Seiki, Hana and Sakura building a snowman.

"I just want to be a good protector for them. For you. For Yu." Sincerity filled her voice. They stood silent for a few moments before Mika said again. "I know. Same goes for both Yu and I." Akane bit her lower lip before she squeezed out a voice, "But I've failed Yuri." Mika flicked her forehead softly, "We will definitely get her back."

Akane gazed at Mika in admiration, "I'm so glad that the both of you are here with me." Mika gently pushed her head towards his chest, "Remember. We are no longer helpless and alone."

She had regret and felt guilty that she almost left them behind again. "Sorry." She mumbled. Mika heard it but he was too puzzled by the sudden apology that he did not say anything. Akane gripped onto his shirt tighter as she secretly thought. Will it really end well? Can I finally fulfill my wish now? She feared that the higher the anticipation, the greater the disappointment.

Mika did not questioned her, he just held her in his arms as he gently pat her back. It's easy to say that everything will be alright but, even he feared that the whole operation will end up in disappointment.  After all, they are dealing with three strong enemies. The Witch Hunters. The Vampires. The Moon Demon Company.

"Don't be sorry. To us, you're like our sister, our mother. We'll always be a family no matter what we've become or what happens." He said right after he felt that she had calmed down. She gave a slight laugh in his arms before letting him go and grinning, "Alright son! Let's go in for the curry that you want to eat so much." Mika held her cold hands and said, "Right! I came here to call you to eat. Yu would've swallow our share if we don't hurry up." He pulled her into the warm and cozy building, out of the snowy rooftop.

The aroma of curry filled the dining table. Yu was sitting down with bowls of curry on the table. When he saw them both walked in, he smiled and asked, "Where have the both of you been? I'm starving!"

Mika went to sit next to him, "I'm surprised you held yourself back. I thought you'd finish our share." Yu glared at him and denied, "No way, since when have I ever done that?"

Akane watched as they continued to bicker, she smiled in bliss.
