Chapter 52

"Seriously? We're up against vampires?" Yu said in dissatisfaction. Shinoa smirked and challenged, "Oh? Why don't you succeed first before saying anything?" Yu gave a cold laugh, "they're strong but stupid. They only know how to attack, you think it's hard?" Shinoa crossed her arms, "just like a certain someone I know." She said as she examine him from head to toe. Akane gave a silent giggle at the comment.

"Just go and do your job." She commanded before bringing the others along with her. Yu frowned and speed up towards the vampires at the west gate as the 100 soldiers was brought to the main gate where the witch hunters are. The distraction worked as the main gate was covered in loud noises. The vampires walked towards the noise and Yu jumped out from his hiding. "Hey! Focus here." He slashed them one by one, too fast for them to react. Akane watched in surprise at the boy who used to be bullied by these vampires was now, capable of turning them back to dust.

As Yu was attacking the vampires, Mika and Akane sneaked in the building. Stealthily, they tried to hide from as many soldiers possible. Inside of the building, only witch hunters were seen, those who are more skilled. No sign of any vampires or Moon Demon Company soldiers. Yu was quick to join them.

"Hey! What's the plan now?" He rushed towards the other two. Mika glanced around the whole area, "something is off." Akane eyes glowed red as she focus on her ears.

"They've arrived. Just as Sir Elliot said. Wait for them to fall into the trap and exterminate them altogether."
"But isn't one of them his niece?"
"Yeah... he doesn't wish to harm her but she betrayed him first."

Hearing the soldiers' conversation, Akane frowned in worry. She held onto her staff and glanced at the other two. "They know we're coming..." With that, Yu immediately pulls out his sword once again. Mika held him back and stared hard at the soldiers. The trio held back their attack and waited to see what they are up to next.

A loud explosion was heard outside, followed by Mitsuba's voice, "Kimizuki!" Yu immediately stood up, already rushing out but the soldiers of moon demon company appeared and blocked his way. "Lieutenant, he's here." Elliot's voice came from the walkie talkie, "Finish them." As soon as the conversation ended, the soldiers' weapon light up.

Yu smirked mockingly at them and commands, "Asuramaru, give me strength." His grip became tighter. Mika stood up and walk slowly but elegantly towards them as his swords drink his blood. Akane followed behind him as the staff she's holding onto starts to glow brighter and brighter.
