It's been an hour. Akane has been staring at her wooden staff for an hour. All the possible scenarios of encountering Mika and Yuu flashes across her mind. Gripping tighter to her wooden partner, she closed her eyes and sighed over a million times. Footsteps starts closing in on her and she immediately stand up in defense position, when she saw who it is, she step back still at that position.

"I'm hurt Akane... How could you be so harsh on me?" The vampire comments as he placed his palm on his chest. "Can you hurt someone with no heart?" Akane still standing on her ground, replies.

"I do have a heart. It just stopped beating a long time ago." His lonely tone makes anyone who sees it feel sympathetic for him, however, in Akane's eyes, they are crocodile tears. She picks up her staff and exited the hallway. What does teacher see in him exactly? She thought as she walked away from the vampire who started all of her nightmares.

If she hadn't come out of that mansion, she wouldn't know that it's already daylight. That place is so dark, so cold, so lonely...

Sensing someone following behind, she paced up her speed, trying to break free from the watch of that mysterious person. Halfway through her escape, the presence disappeared. She turned immediately, there was no sight of a single organism. Am I hallucinating? She peeks and makes a U-turn. There was really no one...

Continuing her way, she was oblivious to the movement at the back. Blood sucking out of the man's life. The Noble Vampire smiled, throwing the man to the ground. "You shouldn't have set your eyes on this witch. She's mine to devour." The man who was following Akane is now, laying motionlessly on the ground with no sign of blood in his body.

Akane stood behind the tree for a long long time. She went off suddenly the last time and came back suddenly this time. To kill. Her vision stick to the black haired boy who was smiling happily at her target. She clenched her fist tighter, ensuring her nails are hurting her skin so it could numb the fear and anxiety she is feeling right now.

Afterwards, when she gained the courage to carried out her purpose, another boy came. He called out their names, "Yuu! Shinoa!" Akane stopped her foot right when those names were called. She immediately hid behind the tree once again. Secretly, she observed them. That sight reminds her so much of the time they spent together at the orphanage.

Just then, the image of Yuri's blood flashed across her mind. She has to save her, she promised her mother to protect her. Her eyes glowed red, ready to strike anytime.

Author's note: Is Akane ready to kill Shinoa? Can she really do it? Stay with me to find out! ;p
