A hidden survival

Chapter 37

"Guren! You're finally back." Yuu entered the base and greeted. The man turned with a frown on his face, then a slight nod. He voiced out, "I heard you brought back visitors." Yuu shifts his gaze to his team. Guren continued, "And they are not humans."

"They are my family. I'm going to protect them." He said in a low voice. Guren walked swiftly all the way to the front, "Are you asking for permission?" He clenched his fist, "I don't believe I have to." Guren placed a hand on his shoulder, "If you're going to protect them, make sure you do it properly, they are not welcome." Yuu looked up at Guren, whose eyes showed an intense hatred, he moved back, away from his hand. "I will." Yuu said, as he walked away from the base. Those eyes showed a slight clue of the attack on Akane. No way. Yuu convinced himself as he continued to walk away from them.

"Akane!" Yuri ran towards the witch and the vampire. Akane bend down to receive a hug from the toddler. She carried her and walked towards the rest of the children. Settling down, she gave a smile, "What're you doing?" 

Hana voices out, "Akane, we want to learn more about our power." Her eyes determined, catching Akane in surprise. She thought for a while. "I'm sorry, I can't teach all of you." Their responses were, "Why?!" Akane smile in guilt, "Well... Yuri and Sakura is too young to learn, it'll be hard for them to control their powers, and... They can harm others if their powers went out if control." Sakura sighed in disappointment while Yuri was clueless of what is happening. Akane patted their heads, "your time will come. Don't be upset."

"Well, Hana, are you prepared for training?" Akane asked. Hana nodded in excitement.

"How can we lose to the girls?" A voice suddenly interrupted them. All of them turned and saw Yuu walking towards them. He pulled Seiki towards where Mika and he, was standing, "you're training with us." Akane stressed, "don't be too hard on him, he is a good fighter for his age."

"Well, training start immediately, right? See you girls soon." The boys walked away. Akane turned her attention back to Hana and the girls. "Sakura, help me take care of Yuri, alright?" The girl nodded without complain.

"Alright, shall we start?" Akane smiled at Hana.
