Zero's POV
The fact that Luanna was still holding a bloody knife while flapping around made me uneasy.
But then again, I should probably pay attention to the fact that a skinny boy my age was the only thing that prevented me from dropping to the ground and ending up like those animals that eagles dropped from great height to make their bones bre- I'm sure you get the point.
I looked down, and gulped.
"DON'T LOOK DOWN!" Alex yelled at me.
Yeah, too late now, I thought sarcastically.
I peeked at Luanna -the murderer- and she rolled her eyes at me. I couldn't help that even the flapping noises of her wings seemed sarcastic to me.
I gave her a hesitant wink. Her wings slowed for a second in suprise, but then increased in speed, and she threw me another death-glare, speeding off.
"Luanna, wait up! Not so fast, you'll-" Alex yelled, until he was interrupted by Luanna spiralling towards the ground, her face pale.
Alex cursed, and shot after her. The world was a blur around me, and I felt motion-sick.
Alex managed to grab Luanna's arm, but she was too heavy, and we fell to the ground, faster and faster and faster and faster- until there was a smack, and everything went black.
Third POV
So far, Ciara's day had been good. Scratch that- her day had been perfect. She'd been asked out by her crush, had received her report -all A's and B's- and had been told just how pretty she looked about- well, actually, she'd counted them. Eight times. Ciara always counted the number of times she was called pretty.
She'd gone to the park, hand in hand with Josh -her before mentioned crush- and everything had been perfectly perfect. The sun had been shining, the birds singing, the flowers blooming-
And that was when they landed on Josh. With a loud bang and a huff and one squeel, there was a hole in the ground, and Josh - her Josh- was gone!
Ciara shrieked, and looked at the hole. A feather floated down on top of her, and she squeeled, and made a run for it, yelling about aliens descending.
Zero's POV
I groaned, and pushed the boy off of me. "Gerrof," I heard Luanna growl.
"You're awake?" I asked her, blinking slowly and moaning as I felt my back.
"Yeah, I'm awake, dork. Is Alex okay?"
There was a soft moan.
"Okay, good. What about the human?" Luanna asked.
There was no answer, and I sighed, peeking up at the light. "My back hurts," I whispered.
"Well, we'll need someone to climb up to get us out of here. Cm'on, you good-for-nothing-"
I growled, winced as I moved, but grabbed the edges of the hole, and managed to pull myself out. I extended my hand to Luanna, who's eyes flashed.
"Are you taking it, or not?"
