Piper's POV

I took deep breaths. It's okay, Piper. Don't explode. Don't kill her. It's okay, I told myself.

I mean, after all, why would I care? She was just...Well, there was absolutely no reason for me to be jealous. Why would I be jealous? I mean, she liked Alex, but why would I care...right?

I glanced at her once again, and then admitted it. Okay, I'm jealous.

Myhrr was looking absolutely stunning, even in my opinion. Alex seemed to agree with that statement, considering the way his eyes bulged.

"We should get going, don't you think?" I asked, in a voice that somehow turned out three octaves higher than normal.

"Yes," Luanna agreed, gripping Zero's arm in such a way that made me suspect I wasn't the only jealous one, "we have...stuff to do."

We hurried out of the room, closely followed by Myhrr, who was swinging her hips wildly. I noticed Alex staring at her every few seconds, so I grabbed his hand and threw Myhrr a smug look.

Alex' POV

I was getting a little freaked out. First of all, Piper (you know, the girl that has a pet dragon, and seems about as sweet and affectionate as the creature) was holding my hand.

Yes, she was clutching it.

Second of all, Myhrr. I mean...Whoa. I was having a hard time ripping my eyes away from the tight-fitting blouse, and I even saw Zero peeking her way a few times, though he seemed mainly focused on Luanna.

Third...Well, I knew that look Luanna had on her face. She was ready to murder Myhrr.

Last of all, and the thing that confused me most, was that Myhrr seemed like the ultra sexy version of Evangeline...

Get why I'm so confused?

I walked to the bus in a daze, with Myhrr babbling behind me, and Piper clutching my hand with such a strength that nearly pressed me to the ground. "You okay, Piper?" I gasped.

"Just fine," she snapped as I glanced timidly at Myhr again.

"You sound put out," I squeaked.

"Just walk, Alex," Luanna grumbled, towing Zero along. I listened to my sister for once, because I had a vague suspicion that she was right.

Zero's POV

As soon as we got home, Luanna stormed up the stairs. "Let's get things done," she snapped.

"Done?"

"Done. So we can go and kill my father. Remember that?"

"I remember," I muttered.

Luanna threw things around in her room, and basically put everything that didn't seem normal in a bag, including the cootie stick and something that resembled a pair of destroyed socks. I really didn't want to know what those did...or contained.

It wasn't before long before Luanna's room was a complete mess, and then she clutched a small bag.

"Ready to go...shushnub?"
