Zero's POV

"Luannitha, stop!"

The creature that was Luanna, but wasn't her at the same time hesitated, and glanced at me. I saw the dark flitting in her eyes. "Luannitha. Stop," I told her firmly, the sword in my hands shedding a bright light.

She stepped back.

Her father, suprisingly, started laughing. A heavy, booming laugh that filled the room. Luanna gnashed her teeth together, and took a step forward, but I gave her a stern look. "Step back, Luannitha. Let me finish this."

Because I knew I must. The dagger had to kill him. And I was the only person capable of controlling it.

"You, little wimp, finish this?!" Luanna's father guffawed. "Please!"

I felt a glow fill me, and I smirked. "Yes."

For the first time, fright crossed his eyes, and he got up from the throne he'd still been seated on. "Go."

"Not before your end," I said simply, stepping forward. Luanna hissed at me, and I knew she was still black. I directed a quick look towards Luanna's father, who seemed frozen, and then kissed Luanna briefly. "Wake up, Luannitha. Be yourself."

Something in her seemed to shrink, and her eyes cleared. Luanna stumbled for a moment, and glanced around her in confusion. My sword gleamed even more, and I knew it was time.

I turned to the man I was destined to destroy. "Any last words?" I said mockingly, not able to resist the cliched line from the movies.

"Yeah. HELP!" he roared.

Before I knew it, the world turned black around me. At first I thought I was unconcious, but then my muscles contracted, and I realized what was going on. Demons. The room was full of demons.

I cursed. I had to be quick now, or else we wouldn't stand a chance. I struggled my way to Luanna's father, the sword automatically making the demons jump aside.

I finally found him. He was hidden in a dark corner (then again, everything was dark), his chest heaving, and his wounds were bleeding heavily. He looked up at me. "Please," he whispered. His face crumpled, and my resolve wavered for the moment as I saw his eyes. Luanna had his eyes.

"You were wrong. You brought this on yourself, but I-I pity you. I'm sorry. Goodbye," I whispered, raising the sword. The man closed his eyes, and I drove my weapon through his blackened heart.
