Broken Hearts?

Luanna acted pretty good for being more nervous than any of us. She handled everything really well. She only acted nervous to me and Alex.

So much for shareing feelings with others and makeing friends.

She never really told anyone how she really felt. I guess that's why she was acting all happy, but as soon as the people who she talked with, her attitude changed.

Well, enough of her.

People were asking me alot of questions. Mostly about what were Luanna's and Alex's numbers, but I just told them that's what they had to ask them. Some also demanded my number, which I never gave out. I wanted to stay in the low part of school, and not get fed up with all the other business.

I was only this big of a hit because of those two.

But if they really knew who those two were, and what they used to do for a living, I'd be deader then dead. And if not that, we three would be in some labatory getting poked....at least let's just leave it with that.

Now if they really knew Luanna was a shushnub, and Alex couldn't get over the past that would do alot...

Oh, they don't know what a shushnub is....

By lunch, I was tired of answering questions, and just ignored it all. I didn't want to be popular, expecially like this, because if this is how it was going to be, Luanna wouldn't be mine.

I sat by myself during lunch, hopeing everyone would leave me be. I just wanted to fit in, and not get caught by my newly found wings. I don't know why I felt this way, I thought I alway wanted to be popular, and have lots of friends. But now, I don't know.

"Hey! You're the new kid, right?" Some guy asked, but I knew he was, it was the the lead football player's best friend (funny how it only takes you half a day to figure out who's who)

"One of them, why?" I asked, thinking I knew what was comming.

"You're that childhood friend of the hot new girl, right?" He asked. I now knew what was comming.

"Yeah" I just played along, acting as if I knew my heart wasn't about to be broken.

"Well, she's now the girlfriend of my best friend!" My heart wasbroken. The lead football player now has my girl.
