Zero's POV

I still felt dizzy from the kiss. I gazed at Luanna's gorgeous face, but she was looking at Alex, her face uneasy.

"What?" I asked her.

"I don't know," she mumbled, turning back to me. My heart beated wildly, and secretly, I hoped for another kiss, but I knew she wasn't up to it.

"So...When I'm a going to sprout wings?" I said jokingly, a bit relieved, and a bit hurt because I hadn't. It basically meant she didn't love me.

Luanna looked embarrassed. "I guess when I say three little words and mean them," she mumbled, turning red.

I flushed too. "Luanna...Do you like it when I kiss you?"

She gasped at such a direct question, and stumbled back, looking frantic. "I-I-"

I gave her a pleading look. Her shoulders slumped.

"Kinda."

I smiled, pleased. "Would you mind if I kissed you again?"

"...Kinda."

I groaned, and hung my head in shame at my rejection. Luanna giggled. "You can kiss my cheek, okay?"

I did so, and gave her a tight hug. "We should get downstairs," she reminded me.

"Yeah," I muttered, pulling away.

Here comes Zero!

Alex' POV

I got out of the swimming pool, and Zero's mother -I still didn't know her name- tossed me a towel. I thanked her, but felt angry.

He'd kissed her. I'd seen it, his ugly lips sucking my sister's face off. My sister's face! Mine!

I huffed in disgust again, and saw Luanna approach me. I rushed towards her, and pulled her away from Zero, until we reached a shadowy corner.

"Why did you kiss him?!" I demanded.

Luanna flushed a bright red. "Because..."

"Yes?!" I demanded.

"Because I like it when he does, okay?! It's none of your business who I date, anyway! Just let me live my life!"

" None of my business?! You are my sister, it is my business who you date! And why him? He's a human!"

"Yeah, well, in case you haven't noticed, I haven't seen any handsome fallen angels around, and Zero feels just fine to me."

"You mean, kisses just fine."

"Oh, shut up, Alex! Go find a nice human girl for yourself, or something! I have Zero, Zero has me, and it's going to stick like that for a while, okay? Gosh, maybe even for years, for- I don't know, for as long as it feels good!"

I stiffened. "For forever, possibly?"

"Yeah, possibly!" she yelled, stalking away back towards Zero.

I took a deep breath.

Go find a nice human girl for yourself.

Huh.
