Zero's POV

"Zero. Wake up."

I moaned. "Zero, wake up!!"

"Nooooo," I grumbled, keeping my eyes shut tightly.

There was a sigh, and then cold water was thrown over me. I yelled in panic, and shot up, my eyes wide open now.

Luanna was looking calmly at me. "We need to go," she reminded me.

I stared at my underwear, embarrassed. "How did you get into my room again?"

She noticed my outfit at last, and flushed. "Uhm, right. Get dressed, and come downstairs, okay?"

I murmered something in assent, and she fled away.

Despite Luanna and Alex' protests, we'd decided they would be inside the plane, not flying next to it. We had to keep the proof of their existence and what they were to a minimum.

Luanna looked nervous as we got seated. "How can this thing ever fly?" she whispered.

I took her hand, and squeezed it. "Don't worry, it will. It'll fly."

Alex rolled his eyes, and huffed, but then he made a little jump in his seat, and ducked his head.

Luanna threw him a questioning look. He pointed at a young girl that looked about fourteen on our left side, one row behind us. She had pretty, curly light brown hair, and an innocent look on her freckle covered face. "It's that Emma girl, the one that was like Evangeline," he whispered.

I shot him an alarmed gaze.

Alex' POV

My heart beated loudly. I'd let her go, but there was no guarentee she wouldn't scream bloody murder one she recognised me.

A small part of me was still reminded of Evangeline, and my heart made a little jump. Oh, Evangeline. Drat that girl, she'd been gone before we'd even stood a chance together. Always throwing herself in the line of fire to save others. It'd been fatal. She was gone.

I took a deep breath, and peeked at the girl again. She stared straight back at me, fright on her face.

Yeah, really good, Alex. Now she thinks you're a crazy person who's intent on killing her.

God, I'd never really meant to hurt her.

"She recognised me," I told Luanna under my breath. My sister looked just as nervous as me, and clutched Zero's hand more tightly. For once, it didn't annoy me.

As soon as there was a signal we could take our seatbelts off, Emma got up, and walked towards us, her knees shaking. She stopped as she stood next to me, and took a deep breath. "Hello."
