you were supposed to give up stuff for lent
that's what my friend emily said, she gave up chocolate for lent, she was thirteen and she gave up chocolate for lent, she was sweeter than chocolate could ever be
clark gave up who she once was
clark became clark, not clarke with an e, clark with just the k at the end, she is fourteen and i don't even know if she celebrates lent, she is new and cool and willing to be
now she's who she is now
clark didn't know that i knew that she knew that she was thus i knew that she was without her knowing or her telling and she thought that maybe she told me (she didn't) or maybe she told me (she didn't either) but her voice broke a little in the middle and neither of us said anything
clark isn't superman
not even superwoman, she's tall and lanky like her sister, maybe that's why she's not a heroine or a damsel in distress, i hope she doesn't turn on herself and turn towards what they think she is (heroin is bad, kids) and i hope she knows that i know that i won't even if she knows that i don't know everything
you were supposed to give up for lent
that's what they said, connotation unawares (selling their wares, cons with no notation, no notion, i note the actions and reactions of the people in relative minor) aware of their state and her state in the state they all live in, i am a citizen but not a part (but not apart)
she gave up and became clark kent
