there's no such thing as not being able
to make a horse drink
it can be done in such a simple way
force them to sit
at the water's edge
a la narcissus but the pond is murky
if they drink
everything will be better
the foals they care for will grow strong
and they will grow strong too
watch as the horse licks his lips
and swallows the whole pond
gulp! his stomach explodes
from his greediness
and he is left still at the edge
so close to having succeeded
but instead
he has created a flood.
