Hidekane one shots

Nightmares

Kaneki's P.O.V.

I woke up in sweat and tears, I was breathing heavily. I had a nightmare again. This is starting to become more common. It took me a few minutes to calm down enough to wake Hide up. I usually didn't wake him because I didn't want him to worry about me. He was turned to where his back side was facing me, and he was snoring. He looked so peaceful.

I started to shake his arm. "H-hide wake up."

He still wasn't waking up. I started to shake his arm harder. "Hide please wake up." It took a little while, but he did wake up. I almost forgot he was a deep sleeper.

"Kaneki what's wrong?" He said tiredly. He had move on to his back, I was sitting on my knees and my ghoul eye was probably actived. I need to get control over it.

"I-I..." I couldn't help but cry before the words came out of my mouth. I put my hands over my face, feeling warm tears run down my face. And I felt a pair of arms wrap around me. I put my arms around him and cried into his shirt. I will most definitely leave tear stains behind.

"Shhhh Kaneki it's okay. I'm here. You're okay." Hide continued to say sweet things until I started to clam down.

I looked up at him. "Kaneki talk to me." He said as he moved my bangs away from my eyes.

I sniffed before saying, "I-I had a nightmare."

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"No."

"Alright. I'll let you talk about it when you're ready."

"I-I'm sorry for waking you up so late."

"It's okay. If you have a nightmare again wake me up. I'll listen to you." He said before cupping my face in his hands and kissing my cheek and letting his lips stay there for a few moments longer then nesasary.
"Okay?"

"Okay." Is all I could say.

"I hate it when you have tears down your beautiful face." He said as he whipped my some what dried tears with his thumbs. I blushed at his words. "We should go back to sleep." I agreed and we laid down. I turned my back towards him and he wrapped one of his arms around my stomach. I rested my head on his other arm, which made it's way under my pillow. He put his face in my hair. My eyes were starting to get heavy.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you too." I said starting to fall a sleep. I fell asleep after a few minutes being caudled by the person I love.
